Yu Miaoshu transmigrated.
She transmigrated into the body of a fake county magistrate who had taken her brother's place.
On her first day at the Feng County government office, she discovered that it owed nearly ten thousand strings of cash.
A quick calculation on her fingers showed that, relying on her official salary, she'd have to work for over a hundred years without eating or drinking to pay off the debt!
Yu Miaoshu couldn't stand hardship. All she wanted was to be a corrupt official with a belly full of good food.
Lottery bonds, helping merchants sell their goods, market-town real estate, and improving new crop varieties.
Before she knew it, she'd sent the whole county soaring!
*
Yu Miaoshu got promoted.
Shuozhou had been devastated by a popular uprising, and everything was in ruins.
All the officials had been killed.
Yu Miaoshu trembled with fear.
She brought in refugees, attracted investment, and planted bamboo sugarcane.
Shuozhou's brown sugar took off out of nowhere, crushed the capital's sugar industry, and became a monopoly leader.
Before she knew it, all of Shuozhou had ascended!
*
Yu Miaoshu got promoted again.
Yu “Lucky Carp” Miaoshu: “Brother Song, I can't climb any higher. If I go to the capital, my whole family will end up as dumpling filling!”
*
Later
Yu Miaoshu was thrown in jail.
She had disguised herself as a man and taken her brother's post, committing the crime of deceiving the emperor.
This time, she was done for!
Little did she know that the entire court was scrambling to get her out.
Because she was just too good at making money!

Another upcoming novel in the same vein: The Merchantess
Wang Yuzheng transmigrated into the body of a new bride in the Liu family.
On her wedding day, a delicate concubine with a child on the way showed up at the door.
The original owner refused to accept the humiliation and got into a huge fight with her in-laws. Her groom beat her savagely and locked her in the woodshed, where she died of anger and grief.
Wang Yuzheng took over her body.
*
A domineering mother-in-law, a pregnant concubine throwing her weight around, a husband who despised her, and a weak family back home… Wang Yuzheng glanced at her injuries and waited for her chance to become a widow.
Her husband, Liu Ming, was kidnapped by bandits while transporting merchandise. They demanded that she personally deliver a huge sum of money to ransom him.
Her mother-in-law scraped together the ransom and urged Wang Yuzheng to risk her life to save her son. The concubine wept, claiming she couldn't run the household without a man.
Wang Yuzheng put on the air of the head of the household and decisively took the money to negotiate with the bandits.
The Liu family already had an heir, so she could do without her useless husband.
All Wang Yuzheng wanted was for the bandits to kill him.
*
Who could have guessed that the bandit chief would be smitten by her looks? He didn't want money; he wanted her as his wife.
Wang Yuzheng put on a sorrowful face. “Alas, I'm a married woman.”
Li Zhi: “No problem. I can have him killed and make you a widow.”
Wang Yuzheng looked a little coy. “But I'm greedy. I can't stand the slightest hardship, and I still want my husband's family fortune.”
Li Zhi coaxed her. “I can help you take it.”
Wang Yuzheng thought it over carefully for a long while. “I'm a respectable woman, so I do care about appearances. I don't want to ruin my reputation. You can't have a proper title, but you can be my lover.”
Li Zhi: “…”
This woman had some nerve!
Later
Li Zhi watched Wang Yuzheng build her widow's business into a roaring success. She swallowed up her husband's family enterprises and grew the family business until she became a renowned merchantess in the region.
And he still had no title or status, just a vicious dog at her side that had to stay hidden from sight.
The Male Lead's Story
At the end of the dynasty, the people were starving and desperate.
Li Zhi became an outlaw and joined a gang of brothers in the bloody trade of living by the sword.
One day, he took a fancy to a woman. Smitten by her looks, he wanted her, not her money.
The young woman readily gave herself to him, on the condition that he kill her husband.
Killing people was nothing unusual for Li Zhi, but this was the first time he'd heard such an unreasonable request.
Li Zhi genuinely liked that wicked streak of hers.
She nestled weakly in his arms and softly said she wanted to take her husband's family's property for herself, then asked if he'd help.
Of course he would.
He knew desire was a blade hanging over his head, but she still lured him in until he was grinning like a fool.
*
Later, he killed and robbed for her, doing every dirty deed that had to be kept in the dark. But she still wasn't satisfied. With the court in turmoil and rebels rising everywhere, she said to him, “Why don't we change careers?”
Li Zhi: “???”
He thought she wanted to turn over a new leaf and start a new life. Instead, she said, “I'll provide the money, you provide the muscle. How about we ride the wave and start a rebellion?”
Li Zhi: “…”
Well, this woman no longer wanted to build a widow's business. She wanted to be queen of the world!

Things weren't going well at work, so Xia Yang went home to inherit the convenience store at a scenic spot.
One late night, he suddenly zoned out and transmigrated to another world with his grilled-sausage stall.
Faced with drooling customers with long tails, wings, two mouths, four eyes, and all kinds of other strange features, Xia Yang trembled as he served them grilled sausages.
“Dear customer, these grilled sausages are a specialty from another world!”
A rumor gradually spread among adventurers: There was a shop in Silvermoon Town that only opened at night. It sold mysterious delicacies from another world, and only the bravest adventurers dared to cross the dangerous black fog at night to reach it.
One day, the silver dragon sleeping in his palace opened his eyes. A strange aroma drifted through the air, and his stomach rumbled.
That night, a brat with silver hair and silver horns, wearing an insufferably smug expression, swaggered into Xia Yang's shop. He ate more than twenty grilled sausages with refined yet overbearing manners, then refused to pay.
The silver-haired brat wiped his mouth. “I am the lord of this land, foreigner. From today on, you are my subject.”
Xia Yang: “Did the food upset your stomach, or are you still asleep?”
The silver-haired brat: “Perhaps you wish to become my queen? I might consider…”
Xia Yang: “Who wants you to consider it? Pay up!”
*
The other world was full of danger, and raising a dragon was about to bankrupt him.
Xia Yang looked at his increasingly empty wallet. “Time to go pioneer the wilderness, other world!”
Chop trees, farm, build houses, make local specialties,
use fire magic to roast meat and water magic to irrigate fields,
big guys build walls while little guys catch bugs,
the hardworking queen works day and night, carrying goods between two worlds and striving to fill every winter den with food so every big eater can get a full meal.
The silver dragon lord, now well-fed and grown, wants to cuddle up to his queen.
The queen, reopening his shop, wants to get back to business.
By day, the convenience store stocks herbs, stones, coins, and little purses from the other world.
By night, it trades for human food and specialties
“This is instant noodles, precious as a hidden treasure.”
“Take a look at this: extra-spicy, unbeatable Luosifen. Its stench can attack the sensitive noses of monsters and kill them without a trace, and it tastes wonderfully distinctive, too.”
“Our shop also has beer, soft drinks, mineral water, peanuts, sunflower seeds, and ham sausages. What can I get you?”
…
Notes:
① Xia Yang is the bottom, Herbert is the top, and the top shows up quite late, around Chapter 20. The story mainly focuses on the bottom.
② This is an unconventional other world with a completely made-up setting, roughly a medieval Western fantasy-style animal world (?).
③ Modern world by day, other world by night. He travels back and forth between the two worlds, with most of the story taking place in the other world.
④ Warm, comforting, slow-paced everyday life.
⑤ A broadly defined farming story, very broadly.
The next story will be Green Bamboo [Farming]. Blurb below↓
Everyone in the surrounding villages knew that Jiang Zhu was an orphan found at the foot of the mountain by Jiang the Basket Weaver. After his adoptive father passed away, he was left all alone, living on Bamboo Mountain, chopping bamboo, digging up bamboo shoots, and making a living by weaving baskets.
One day, Jiang Zhu “found” a strange man in his mountain.
The man was handsome and fair, dignified in bearing, with alluring eyes. He looked every bit like a young master raised in luxury by a wealthy family.
His hair was just a little short.
His clothes were a little strange.
He was pampered and picky about food, and he loved to lie.
One moment he claimed to be a mountain god, the next a black-and-white bear spirit who loved eating bamboo, and then he said he had an incurable illness…
Jiang Zhu tended his wounds, carried him to the doctor, and provided food and drink. The man led him around by the nose, and Jiang Zhu increasingly thought of him as a precious little dog from the rich man's house in town, always coming up with new ailments.
But Shen Qingyue was different from a dog.
He could talk and tease people. He was more domineering than a dog, but he didn't bite people indiscriminately.
He also had a strange bag full of curious things: a lamp that lit up when left in the sun, a mirror that could draw people and sing, and all sorts of other magical little objects…
Most importantly, he would protect Jiang Zhu from being bullied.
Jiang Zhu thought that maybe he really was a fallen immortal after all.
But whatever!
Whether he was a down-and-out young master, a deserter from a neighboring country, or a mountain spirit, Jiang Zhu had found him, so he was his!
Shen Qingyue was born with asthma and had always lived a pampered life. On his first hike, a landslide sent him transmigrating to a strange ancient world.
He had little medicine, a broken leg, and so much pain he wanted to cry, and he was still stranded in the wilderness.
Shen Qingyue mocked himself: Everyone dies eventually, so why did he have to die twice?
He was tired. Let it all end; he hadn't really wanted to live anyway.
He lay down to wait for death, but Jiang Zhu, innocent and easy to fool, carried him home.
Jiang Zhu took care of him, comforted him, fed him, and thought about him every moment, yet never thought to be kind to himself.
Watching Jiang Zhu get bullied by his relatives without knowing how to fight back, skimp on food and drink, and grow thin and small, alone and helpless, Shen Qingyue thought he ought to repay the boy somehow before he died.
He would help him sort out his background, protect the bamboo forest, and teach people a lesson.
He would trick him into eating more meat and gaining weight, then teach him a few ways to make money.
When he died, he would sell the solar-powered flashlight, phone, tablet, and other things in his backpack. Then Jiang Zhu would be able to live comfortably, wouldn't he?
Notes:
① Happy ending.
② Fictional ancient setting, comforting daily life, family matters and little slice-of-life stories told at an easy pace.
③ A gentle yet tough, capable local basket weaver×a sharp-tongued older beauty of a designer with asthma
④ Tentatively told from the bottom's point of view; pairing roles are undecided and may change before serialization.

Theme: Keeping each other warm through cold nights
It's nice to watch. I really like the relationship between the male and female protagonists and how they support each other.
Thirty years is indeed a long time. It feels like a long time for me to buy insurance for ten years.
The story after entering Beijing is not exciting
So beautiful! Very cool article!
It's too idealistic. This is the charm of the novel. I knew it was impossible, but I still read it.
The idea is good, but there is a bit too much preaching at the end and few emotional lines. Can be seen.
102 Oh my god [love eyes] [love eyes]
There is a beginning and an end, a happy ending, belonging to the Great Zhou Dynasty, Yu Miao Shu, and Song Yan's story continues
Nice article! Like!
It looks good, and it ends with flowers.
