After the Spoiled Female Supporting Character Went Broke

Jiang Se transmigrates into an old-fashioned novel as the female supporting character.

In the book, the female supporting character is rich and foolish. She uses money to humiliate the kind, delicate heroine and crushes the poor but proud hero. In the end, she gets what she deserves: she goes bankrupt, falls into ruin, becomes the butt of everyone's jokes, and is driven onto a rooftop by her creditors.

Jiang Se hasn't had a single day to enjoy a life of luxury. When she arrives, the female supporting character is already on the rooftop of a fifty-story building.

If she takes one step forward, she'll be smashed to pieces. But if she doesn't, the plot says she'll be tortured by the hero's gloomy, short-lived older brother until she'd rather be dead.

Jiang Se thinks over what that miserable future entails.

She'll be taken home by Chen Shili, the hero's older brother. Chen Shili is taciturn, and although he's already terminally ill, he has plenty of energy. Every night, he forces her to do her homework, then humiliates her with money.

Well, better to live miserably than die! She turns her gaze to Chen Shili...

Just after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, Chen Shili is inexplicably bound to a System. It tells him that, as an older brother, he must avenge his younger brother's humiliation. So he pays off the debts of the book's villainous female supporting character and takes her home.

His half-brother was humiliated. What does that have to do with him? Paying off someone's debts counts as revenge? Isn't that more like doing them a favor?

To stay alive, he puts up with this ridiculous plot. But he really can't stand the outrageous developments that come later.

In the end, with his remaining lifespan measured in days, he has no choice but to push open the female supporting character's door...
