My Husband Is Ill

With her father ill and the company in crisis, Yun Yao was given the reins at a critical moment and turned the situation around.

Just as the crisis passed, her father cast her aside after she had served her purpose and told her to marry into the Qin family. She was to wed Qin Chang, who was known for conquering the business world but having no success in love (rumor had it he had a hidden ailment).

She demanded a hefty dowry and married him without hesitation.

On their first day of marriage, Qin Chang made an agreement with her: she could use the Qin family's resources, and he didn't mind her using his money either. He had only one request: they would sleep in separate rooms.

Yun Yao: The rumors are true. With a generous husband who doesn't expect me to fulfill my marital duties, and whom I don't have to worry about cheating on me, life is perfect.

In return, she couldn't stand hearing people say anything bad about him. She firmly denied the rumors and defended his dignity as a man.

She even turned down her father's request that she return to the company, explaining that she couldn't balance family and career.

At first, Yun Yao thought Qin Chang's frequent returns home for dinner, birthday gifts, and attentive care as he escorted her to banquets were all part of their act. So she fearlessly flaunted their affection.

Until one day, when they were alone, Qin Chang...

Yun Yao was stunned: Didn't he have that unspeakable problem?

The wealthy elite were buzzing with the news: the ambitious eldest daughter of the Yun family was head over heels for Qin Chang, and was even willing to clip her wings and settle down as Mrs. Qin.

When Qin Chang heard the rumor, he was dumbfounded.

By chance, he overheard Yun Yao telling the other wealthy wives all about how "my husband" did this and that. Her eyes lit up as she spoke.

Was she really head over heels for him?
