[Western Crossover] Batman or Chief Black Cat?

[Extra chapters will be updated irregularly. This is entertainment, and I apologize for any out-of-character moments! I have the utmost respect for the characters! Thank you for understanding!] [This story will not be going premium!!! Thank you for enjoying it.] The Gotham bank's treasures have mysteriously vanished. Children are disappearing for no apparent reason, and winged monsters are flying over Gotham. The nursery rhyme of the Court of Owls has resurfaced. Gotham is once again roiling with dark currents. Batman decides to find the culprit behind it all. But he never expected to run into a sheriff, or rather, a cat would be more accurate. "You can call me Chief Black Cat." The cat, dressed in a police uniform, stood there and saluted him. Who has pointy ears? Who bravely fights evil forces? Who never stops searching for answers? Whose assistant was sacrificed? The answer is... Chief Black Cat or Batman? [My apologies to any readers who are uncomfortable with the content of this story.] Coming soon in the neighboring column: a no-romance crossover fic, DC Meets Marvel, The Last Wish from the Sun. The complete story is currently being drafted. "He looks so much like the big blue guy, oh my god! Did Luthor really figure out how to make some kind of Kryptonian creature encyclopedia?" The young hero stared at the boy lying in the healing pod, so shocked that he seemed to be vibrating. He ran circles around his friend, nearly blowing the boy's mask off. "Hey, Bear, calm down!" "...Stop." "He's from another world. The Watchtower detected a temporal disturbance." A black-clad figure walked in, followed by a Kryptonian whose forelock drooped over his forehead. He paused, then continued, "But he is a Kryptonian." "Rao, I really..." Clark felt utterly exhausted. Diana walked over to him with a smile. "Come to think of it, his uniform is black." "...Yeah." His blue eyes rested on the sleeping boy, their gaze complicated. "It's a Kryptonian uniform. I have one too..." Perhaps this boy considered Earth his home. *, [Serious Blurb] People killed the sun. In the Fortress of Solitude, a Kryptonian child named Rhea was born. His birth meant the death of his creator. Amid the howling winter winds, Rhea witnessed his death with his own eyes. There would never again be a Kal-El in this world. They believed in humanity until the very end. "You shouldn't have died this way." The boy, like the Son of the Sun of old, floated in the air in his black uniform, his cape billowing in the wind. Gotham's protector thought he saw him, but those eyes made him realize that their hero had long since died. "He left you behind." "...Yes." When the boy thought of him, his expression softened. He descended, and his cape wrapped around him, as if someone were reaching across time to embrace him. "I am his last wish." "I am Rhea-El." He is the hope entrusted with hope. He is... the last wish from the sun. Theme: Seek answers and pursue justice.
