Doing Logistics for the Police Academy Squad Again Today

[The End. Thank you for being with me all the way. This story is published exclusively on Jinjiang Literature City. No reposting. Subscription rate: 80%. Please leave lots and lots of comments!] Important warnings for this story (see below the blurb for other warnings): Although the protagonist's name is Ryoko, he is a boy (there's a reason!!!) The protagonist will not become an undercover agent or detective. Firmly a red-side story!!! Blurb recap: Kawayama Ryoko is an utterly ordinary police academy student who has no idea how he ended up in this situation, specifically, sweeping the training grounds on his second day of school. And why are these four, five unreliable classmates so careless about their own safety?! Scene One: In the middle of the night, a certain curly-haired guy knocks on his dorm window, dark circles under his eyes, looking like a demon. "Ryo, do you have a screwdriver?" Kawayama Ryoko: ... "Matsuda! Go to sleep, now!" "Shh, shh, shh! Keep it down, or the instructor will come over!" Scene Two: "Hey, little Ryoko, wanna come to a mixer?~" The long-haired guy hangs up. The person who invited him to the mixer can barely contain their curiosity. "Is she a cute girl? You two seem really close!" Hagiwara rubs his chin, thinking of his friend's fluffy, lamb-like hair, and nods. "He's pretty cute, yeah. We're really close~" Later, when Kawayama Ryoko finds out, he says: "Kenji! How did you manage to miss the word 'girl' so completely? I'm a guy, okay!" Scene Three: "Hiromitsu, I need you to get behind me." Kawayama Ryoko says this. "No," Morofushi Hiromitsu says, shaking his head. "Not now, Ryoko." He gets up and puts on his hat. "I left the cake in the fridge. Don't eat too much." "When we meet again, I'll be behind you." Scene Four: "Date, this is a wedding present for you two." Wataru Date looks a little confused, but Natalie takes the gift Kawayama Ryoko offers and smiles. "Thank you, Kawayama." Wataru Date: It dawns on him that he should propose. Kawayama Ryoko, who gets a grateful look from Date and witnesses the proposal: Confused. Weren't you already married? Scene Five: Kawayama Ryoko finishes processing the last file and collapses onto his desk, to the horror of his subordinate. "Kawayama-senpai!!!" "I'm not dead..." Kawayama Ryoko is startled by his shouting. He lifts his head, his dark circles obvious. "Aren't you being a little dramatic about dying from overwork?" "Go get me a cup of coffee. And tell Zero not to come back for a while." He's about to do something big. The unserious blurb: At first, Kawayama Ryoko thinks dreaming about his own death is just a nightmare. Then one day, his handsome classmate tells him: "Actually, I've dreamed about your death too." Kawayama Ryoko: What?! (horrified.jpg) Kawayama Ryoko: It must be a coincidence, right? Look, brain waves and blah blah blah. Then one day, he dreams about his handsome classmate's death. Kawayama Ryoko: (curse) This definitely isn't a coincidence! To save his classmate and himself, the two form the Dream Signal Squad. But one day, they look up and suddenly realize: "Why are all of you here?!" Other notes: I'll do my best to portray every character as they are. There won't be any "househusband" Whisky Trio, "privacy snooping" Shinichi, "weak and helpless" Ran, "defecting" Gin, "idiot" officers, and so on! The Black Organization might get stronger (or maybe not), but the good guys will win! Original characters may die, but it'll all be for victory! (OOC is possible, so feel free to point it out.) The Police Academy Five will be saved. The early chapters are everyday-life stories, no angst. Lots of timeline headcanons, crossover with sports anime. Also known as Kawayama Ryoko Doesn't Want to Work Today, Your Average Passing Part-Timer, and Has Kawayama Ryoko Escaped the Five-Man Group Today? [This story began its V-to-VIP transition on February 8, 2023.] Check out my upcoming story, Where Will Morofushi Drift Today? (currently on hiatus): In the eighth year of his marriage to Morofushi Hiromitsu, Hasegawa Mirai becomes a widower. No, not quite a widower. He looks at the man floating in the air like a balloon and falls silent for a moment. "Morofushi Hiromitsu, get down from the roof." Just sticking your head out while leaving the rest of you behind is really scary! The man floats down, frowning with a troubled expression. "Sorry, Mirai. I think I'm going to drift away again." Then, the next second, he vanishes. Hasegawa Mirai: Fine, I'll go look for him. It's not like I can divorce him. Hasegawa Mirai sometimes wonders what regret is keeping Morofushi Hiromitsu in the world of the living. What was going through his mind at the moment he died? How far did his soul travel with those memories of the past? Did he want to return to where he died, or drift back to Nagano, back home? Or perhaps... "Mirai." He reaches out and grabs the man who's about to drift away. I don't want you to leave. P.S. The upcoming story is a pure romance, with a male protagonist who is the receiving partner. Theme: Become someone who shines brightly and show them the way home.
