A genuinely frail top who gets winded every few steps vs. a temple bottom who's a lovesick lunatic with a penchant for rebellion
Blurb:
Once upon a time, there was a mountain. On the mountain stood a temple, and in the temple lived a god named Li An.
The old god perished, and a new god descended.
The new god who took Li An's place was the drafty temple he'd lived in for hundreds of years.
The walls were peeling, the roof leaked, and the windows were covered with paper.
Li An had made do there for centuries. At last, just before he died, his conscience stirred, and he renovated his little shack.
The first divine shrine, the first incense offering, the first believer.
He arranged everything for the new god.
Then he passed away in peace.
But then,
not long after his death, someone blew up the feng shui paradise Li An had so carefully chosen.
"..."
Li An, who had inexplicably come back from the dead, struggled out of his coffin and brushed off his clothes. Then he noticed the divine messenger's mark belonging to a certain new god on his body.
The long-retired Li An gritted his teeth.
"You little shack, just you wait until I catch you..."
It runs, he chases, and it can't escape.
Li An, who spent his days stopping the little shack from going berserk, was at his wit's end:
"Damn Heavenly Dao, why the hell did you pick a lunatic house to be a god in the first place?!"
The Heavenly Dao, regretting it so much its guts had turned green: "It's not something I can speak of. Not something I can speak of."
One day, a certain god who had been dragged back woke up and got out of bed, ready to run off and cause trouble again.
The Heavenly Dao sent out an urgent call for help.
Li An sprang out of bed and grabbed the fleeing god around the waist. Still bleary-eyed, he said, "Stop running, stop running, Great God. You're the god now, not me. Just look at me..."
Li An mumbled incoherently.
The god silently glanced at the scratch marks covering Li An's shoulder and blushed to the tips of his ears.
"Let's just take today off, okay, darling?"
The god, who had been planning to destroy the world, thought it over and nodded primly.
He called me darling today. I'll go tomorrow instead.
Li An: ...
He thought he might have figured something out.
P.S.:
The bottom is a wicked, scheming lovesick fool: selfish, destructive, and obsessed with running around doing bad things every day to get the top's attention.
