Cute, sweet employee x proud, aloof, powerful executive

Su Yunian elopes with Fu Yanci, the group's CEO. Fu Yanci is high-ranking, cold-hearted, and haughty.

Their marital duties are far too frequent, but at least he has plenty of money and little to do, so their married life is more or less perfect.

Su Yunian casually calls him "Hubby" all the time, doing her best to play the part of "Mrs. Fu."

She likes keeping accounts and plans to ask Fu Yanci for a divorce once she has saved enough money.

Day 1: 200,000 yuan received, already converted into gold jewelry.

Day 2: 400,000 yuan received, already converted into gold jewelry.

Day N: 5 million yuan received, already converted into gold jewelry.

After sharing a bed as husband and wife for a year and three months, Su Yunian looks at the box full of gold jewelry, prepares a divorce agreement, and goes to negotiate with Fu Yanci.

With tears streaming down her face, she says, "Hubby, our families are worlds apart. I can't offer you any resources or help, so perhaps we should get divorced."

Fu Yanci waves his hand and writes out a check, marking it as an unconditional gift. His thin lips part. "Is that enough to renew the contract?"

After Su Yunian sees all the zeroes, she says, "Hubby, I love you for who you are, not for your money."

She slips the check into her bag.

Su Yunian: She can't help it. President Fu is giving her far too much.

Fu Yanci has always thought Su Yunian loves him deeply, until he sees her notes.

The first item on the list: Gold jewelry isn't marital property, so I can take it with me when we divorce.

The man quietly puts the notes down.

"President Fu convinces himself: If she loves my money, that means she loves me to bits."

"She calls me Hubby even when she asks for a divorce. She must love me, and have her reasons for wanting to leave."
