Waiting for the Rain Butterfly to Land Again

Second chance romance | Reunion at the start | Romantic tension | Urban romance

Gentle, cool-headed reporter x roguish, handsome, scheming pilot

Liang Mengfan never imagined she'd see Jiang Yuchen again.

They ran into each other unexpectedly at the airport.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the orange evening glow spread across the sky.

Jiang Yuchen walked toward her from across the way, and Liang Mengfan stopped in her tracks.

Years had passed. She'd run into her ex, but he didn't recognize her anymore.

He was now a highly sought-after Air Force pilot and the top name at the TV station, and no one had managed to land an interview with him.

A few days later, the TV station received word that Jiang Yuchen had agreed to an interview.

Liang Mengfan was assigned to interview him. The two treated each other like strangers.

At the end, she asked him about his first love.

Jiang Yuchen met her eyes and said flatly, "I've forgotten all about it."

Even the most unforgettable love can't stand against time.

Back then, no matter how busy he was, he always came to pick her up.

He'd cross half the city to buy her favorite dessert.

He'd set aside all his pride and ask her with red-rimmed eyes, "Can't we stay together?"

After the interview, they had no further contact.

Until a heavy rainstorm left Liang Mengfan stranded at the airport.

Jiang Yuchen stopped beside her. "Get in."

After hesitating for a few seconds, Liang Mengfan got in. "What are you doing at the airport?"

The man in the driver's seat said coldly, "I've got nothing better to do than play Good Samaritan."

Later, they started seeing each other more often, and Jiang Yuchen became her neighbor.

Liang Mengfan avoided him, unwilling to get involved with him.

Jiang Yuchen pressed her relentlessly. "Don't you get it yet, Liang Mengfan?"

"After all these years, I never forgot you."

"When the rain-wet butterfly returns, our broken past will finally lead us to meet again."
