In the busiest part of Shanghai, a tiny, run-down clothing shop has just opened. Its owner only opens the doors when she's in the mood, infuriating the major players in the trade. They slam the table in anger and unanimously decide to kick the little shop out of the merchants' association.

But when they arrive outside the shop, they find a sea of people. The wives and young ladies of high society are holding stacks and stacks of cash, nearly wearing down the shop's threshold as they go in and out.
