About My Archrival Being My Lover

Lin Qingyan has a secret:

He was born able to enter dreams and dispel monsters born of lingering obsessions, but the price is chronic frailty and never being able to take off his mask.

Then there's his nemesis, Lu Xiao: the basketball heartthrob who rules the school, tied with him for the top grades, and always complaining that he's too frail. Lin Qingyan can't stand Lu Xiao's swaggering arrogance either.

After the senior year mock exams, their classmate Chen Yu began self-harming and sleeping excessively under pressure. Lin Qingyan overtaxed his mental power to enter Chen Yu's dream and help him, only to run into Lu Xiao, who should have been asleep in the real world.

Lu Xiao was wielding a table leg, brutally beating a monster. The dream trembled around them.

After that, Lin Qingyan “ran into” Lu Xiao every time he entered a dream.

He finally discovered that Lu Xiao could enter his dreams if their skin touched during the day. Lin Qingyan tried to avoid him, but Lu Xiao always managed to “accidentally” bump into him with uncanny precision.

After the college entrance exams, they ended up at the same university and in the same dorm. Lu Xiao's acts of care were awkward but direct:

He left warm milk on the table in the morning, claiming, “I bought too much, and it'd be a waste otherwise.”

When Lin Qingyan stayed up late studying, Lu Xiao draped a jacket over him, stubbornly insisting, “I didn't want you to get cold and fall behind on your studying.”

Even his taunting gradually softened:

“Being enemies and dream buddies is boring. From now on... why don't you just put up with me and stick together?”
