After waking up from a car accident, Ruan Que transmigrated into a novel about wealthy families, as a vicious cannon-fodder villainess who shared her name.
A truly evil, profoundly nasty woman who hates men and women equally, as well as the old, the young, and all of humanity.
She can't stand the handsome, wealthy male lead, born with every advantage; the female lead, who's far too weak and has no sense of self; the second male lead, a loser who throws his weight around; or the second female lead, who's so blinded by love that she competes with the female lead for a man... She can't even stand dogs on the roadside whose owners don't keep them on a leash.
Ha ha, she's a pure hater. There's nothing she likes!
The System tells her she must maintain her character and follow the plot if she wants to survive in this world.
With a heavy heart, Ruan Que begins the first day's plot after transmigrating into a book. She has to watch the male lead get hit by a car, trick the female lead into leaving the scene, and make her miss the male lead's best chance for treatment, sowing countless misunderstandings and entanglements between the leads. She has to coldly watch the male lead bleed... If the second female lead hadn't passed by later, Ruan Que would have killed him outright.
Everything goes perfectly.
Following the System's instructions, Ruan Que dutifully watches the male lead bleed, waits for the second female lead to pass by, and reaches the plot point where she's condemned as evil.
There's just one problem.
The System watches its Host threaten the half-conscious male lead while tears stream down her charming face, and asks in bewilderment, "Why are you crying?"
Ruan Que whimpers and sniffles softly, her voice trembling.
"S-sorry. I can't help it."
The beautiful woman gazes at him with tearful eyes, her full red lips trembling. She sniffs, looks at the male lead uncertainly, and bites her lip in anxious distress, calculating how long it will take the second female lead to arrive. If she doesn't hurry, he's really going to die!
System: ...
What a mistake. Before binding itself to its Host, it had only paid attention to how well Ruan Que's beauty matched that of the villainess with the same name in the book.
Watching Ruan Que do wicked things while crying, looking so helpless that she inspires sympathy despite herself, the System: ...
It closes its eyes. It wants to criticize her for being too weak, but can't bring itself to say it. In the end, all it manages is, "Wipe your tears. Stop crying."
Meanwhile, the handsome man lying in a pool of blood looks at her in confusion. Just before he loses consciousness completely, he hears Ruan Que's faint, tearful voice: "Please don't die!"
Strange.
Huo Yan thinks, You're the one who left me there after I was hit by a car, maliciously hung up on everyone who called, and extinguished my hope of surviving...
So why do you look so heartbroken?

After transmigrating into the book, Ruan Que strays further and further down the path of becoming a vicious cannon-fodder villainess.
After successfully making it through several major plot points, she confidently assumes that the end of her story is near. If she remembers correctly, the villainess's final fate is to be rejected by everyone. Naturally, a pure hater who hates heaven, earth, people, and things can't possibly be liked by anyone.
Even the cats and dogs on the roadside think she's too fierce. They refuse the food she offers and run away with their tails between their legs.
Ruan Que thinks, Waaah, this is so hard. I keep crying even while doing bad things. But it's fine! Once I've finished all the required plot, I'll be free to do whatever I want!
Then it won't matter how much I cry!
What she doesn't expect is that one day, she deliberately picks a date to buy a movie ticket and see a tearjerker, thinking she can finally express herself freely in private and let her true, uncontrollably tearful nature show.
In the neighboring seat, the female lead props her chin on her hand and smiles at her warmly. "Queque, you're cutest when you stop pretending to be tough."
In the other neighboring seat, the male lead's face is cold as he calmly hands her a tissue. "Ruan Que, wipe your tears."
Even the second male lead, who's always been at odds with her, is moved by her tears. Stammering, he says, "Y-you cry so easily." He watches the moving scene on the screen, the one that made Ruan Que cry, then presses his lips together. "I've booked a showing next door. Let's go watch a comedy instead."
Ruan Que sniffles and stares at them in bewilderment.
She tilts her head, unable to understand. The plot is nearly over, so why are the male lead, the female lead, and all the other important characters still with her? Why haven't they left?
What happened to the promised ending where everyone abandons the villainess and she ends up alone?

Reader warning:
The beautiful, universally adored female lead has an uncontrollable-crying trait and isn't like normal people.
Everyone loves Ruan Que.
