Jiang Zhi looks at the quiet repairman, with his sun-browned skin, and holds out a light bulb.

In her fresh, youthful voice, she says, “Uncle, here you go.”

The man pauses, then silently takes it.

The second time they meet, her car breaks down on the road. Her brother sends her a number and says, “My buddy, Huo. He does auto repairs on the side, and he's nearby.”

Jiang Zhi calls him, her voice trembling with tears. “Brother Huo, could you come over? My car broke down on the road.”

She sits by the roadside, wiping her tears. She's only just turned twenty and hasn't been through anything major. She's terrified.

On a summer night beneath dark clouds, with heavy rain on the way, Huo Yun sees the familiar girl timidly raise her face.

He stays silent for a while. As she stares at him with wide eyes, opening her mouth but unsure what to say, he quietly hands her his car keys. “Go wait in my car. It's going to rain.”

Jiang Zhi stares at him in a daze.

Huo Yun looks at her too.

After a long while, he gives a brief smile. “Don't call me Uncle next time. I'm only seven years older than you.”

Of course, at certain times in the future, Jiang Zhi still likes calling him Uncle.

When she wants him to hold her, kiss her, wash her feet... or do anything else she asks him to do in a coaxing voice.

Just like when she was twenty, she smiles with bright eyes and calls, “Uncle, help me...”

And he always turns red and hastily covers her mouth with his hand.

He quietly begs for mercy: “O-okay.”
