Your Detective-Show Stand-In Is Now Online

Zhu Chuan You suddenly found himself in a world that wasn't his. It was a lot like his own, yet nothing was the same.

He used to have the perfect job, but now he could only helplessly take odd jobs wherever he could find them.

And so...

Ding! Your all-purpose substitute worker is now online!

Under the gaze of a certain silver-haired assassin, his underling suddenly turned into a young man he'd never seen before.

Under the gaze of a certain round, orange-clad police officer, his subordinate suddenly turned into a young man he'd never seen before.

Under the gaze of a certain information broker, his partner suddenly turned into a young man he'd never seen before.

Under the gaze of a certain elementary schooler with glasses, his teacher suddenly turned into a young man he'd never seen before.

Zhu Chuan, holding up his ID: “Your underling/subordinate/partner/teacher is busy today, so I'm filling in for him. Please enjoy your day.” (Polite service smile.)

A certain king of part-time work: “He's surprisingly useful.” (Thinking.)

A certain elementary schooler: “Why is Zhu Chuan everywhere?!” (Looking around in alarm.)

On his first day, Zhu Chuan You learned that the world he lived in was a manga.

Not just any manga, but a spin-off of another manga.

His family, his lover, his friends...in the “real” world, they either didn't exist or were already dead.

The world seemed to have changed completely in an instant, and yet somehow nothing had changed.

Zhu Chuan You was the only one who had lost everything.

“Suddenly, I really want to go home.”

“This isn't giving up on your life, darling.”

“I just suddenly miss you so much.”

I came up with this because I really wanted to read a fanfic about an original character tumbling around in the canon world. I figured I might as well write one myself, so I wouldn't get tired of the genre and be left with nothing to read. ORZ
