A Villainous Master-Disciple Age-Gap Romance

A not-very-yandere yandere shou: “I never hated you for leaving the darkness and turning to the light. I only hate that you didn’t take me with you when you did.” (doge)

Rumor has it that the Demon Lord’s beloved disciple, the wild and unruly young Demon Lord Gu Chen, has the Lonely Star in his fate, and is destined to sleep alone. On his wedding night, he proves the rumor true by bringing about the deaths of eight successive partners chosen to survive his tribulation.

On the ninth wedding night, blood splashes across the hibiscus-patterned curtains. The young Demon Lord draws his dagger and wearily pushes his new groom away.

He runs his tongue over the blade, tasting the sweet blood, and waits patiently for his prey to fall into his trap.

The dragon-and-phoenix candles burn high, their sparks scattering like stars. Flames engulf the Demon Palace, and the Demon Lord, missing for many years, appears in full wedding robes.

Innocence fills the young Demon Lord’s eyes, while triumph stains his lips. “Master, your disciple has waited so long for you.”

As the flames roar skyward, the Demon Lord pins his disciple, who has no idea what he’s in for, amid the blazing heat. He grips the younger man’s chin, then takes a piece of red candle and lets a drop of wax fall near his eye, like a wanton kiss.

“My good disciple has defied me and tried to kill his master nine times. Your Highness, the Demon Lord, how do you think I should settle this score?”

The young Demon Lord picks up his dagger and strokes it along the other man’s cheek as if caressing a lover. Blood spurts and splashes across his face, its sharp contours twisted by the firelight.

Waves of flame sweep through the Demon Palace. Piercing screams fill the air, as if the whole place were celebrating them. He toys with the ends of his hair, occasionally brushing his master’s hair with them, and smiles with carefree abandon.

“Your disciple is at your disposal.”

Neither master nor disciple is a genuinely good person. The great demon leads the young demon in destroying the world, so let them keep it in the family. (doge)
