An Ordinary Person, Secretly Loved by a Top-Tier Star

[Celebrity vs. Ordinary Person, His Moonlight]

Su Ce (top) is eccentric, quiet, and never smiles.

Shortly before graduation, Chu Yu (bottom) hands him a yearbook. At last, he sees Su Ce smile and say thank you.

Years later, the next time Chu Yu hears about Su Ce, he has become a hugely popular star.

One day, Su Ce appears on a variety show, and the cameras catch an inconspicuous corner of his desk at home. There, framed behind glass, is a sheet of draft paper with a doggerel poem written on it.

The poem shoots straight to the top of the trending topics that day. Chu Yu opens the picture and stares in a daze, because he recognizes it: he translated it years ago.

Later, Chu Yu meets up with the gaming mentor he met while researching a novel about esports. It turns out that the person who kept him company through his phone was Su Ce.

People online often say, "We were never destined to meet. I was the only one stubborn enough to hold on."

It seems that's exactly how it was.

Just like how Chu Yu's novel suddenly gets adapted for television.

The lead actor is Su Ce, who takes a pay cut to star in it. Despite his aloof persona, Su Ce is always by Chu Yu's side, discussing the script with him.

During a live interview at the Spring Festival Gala, the host asks Su Ce what he wishes for in the new year. Every year, Su Ce says the same eight characters:

"Three meals a day, with plenty left over."

It takes Chu Yu a long time to find out the truth.

Su Ce once declared his love amid a room full of guests, but the subtitles had one character wrong, as always.

That regret is just like Su Ce's unrequited love.

For years, no one knew.
