Are Snakes Cute?

Xiang Heng confesses to Qu Zhuo: "I like you."

Qu Zhuo: "Do you like snakes?"

Xiang Heng, with question marks all over his head, considers his answer carefully. "If you like them, I support you having one as a pet."

Qu Zhuo pulls out a king cobra.

Xiang Heng: "I don't like them!"

Then he adds, "But I don't mind you keeping one!"

Qu Zhuo pulls out a corn snake, with a tiny head, round eyes, and an adorably squishy look.

Xiang Zhuo: "I-it's pretty cute."

Qu Zhuo's face turns cold. He turns around and walks away.

Xiang Heng can't figure out what made him angry, no matter how hard he thinks, until one day Qu Zhuo turns into a black-browed snake right in front of him.

The legendary household-protecting snake.

The snake flicks its tongue and speaks: "Do you like snakes? Yes or no?"

Xiang Heng answers cautiously: "...Or?"

Could you please not ask about snakes in general? T_T
