Give Me Back the Throne

Fu Yi was a tyrant, cruel and ruthless. Everyone trembled at the mention of his name, and even after his death, the King of Hell refused to take him in.

Forced to drift back into the past as a soul, he watched his younger self huddle in a woodpile, biting back tears. Fu Yi slapped him and slowly spat out two words: "Useless."

Young Fu Yi: "...?!"

Later, watching the boy suffer endless bullying and become covered in bruises, Fu Yi's heart finally softened, and he held out a hand.

"If nobody else will care for me, then I'll have to care for myself."

Standing in the darkness, he became the boy's guiding light, accompanying him as he climbed mountains of corpses, waded through seas of blood, and ascended the throne.

But the young emperor grew more and more wayward. On the night of his coronation, he trapped Fu Yi against the imperial throne and kissed him like a madman.

Fu Yi shoved him away, so angry his soul nearly scattered. "If you're sick, go see the imperial physician! Who goes and does that to himself..."

The young emperor cut him off. "You are you, and I am me. We had different experiences and different temperaments. We're not the same person anymore."

Fu Yi paused, raised an eyebrow, and tugged at his crown. "We're not the same person? Then move aside. I'll be emperor!"

The young emperor smiled, pulled open his collar, and leaned close again. "You can have my dragon robe too..."

Fu Yi: "Get lost!"
