After Acting Opposite Kudo-kun by Mistake

At 22, the exceptionally talented superstar Boyu Yuanli received an offer to star in a film by an international director. With no romantic experience, she decided to secretly visit the biggest dating agency in town to learn how to act out the romantic scenes in the script.

From a crowd of people, she picked out a black-haired man wearing a mask. His deep blue eyes immediately drew her in. He wasn't very professional, but she absolutely loved his face, right up until someone knocked on the door.

"Kudo, just as planned, we can close the net now."

She asked the black-haired man to rehearse a scene with her. Their gestures grew intimate, and she vaguely felt that he looked familiar. It was only when she heard his surname that she suddenly realized who he was.

After that first encounter, Kudo-kun, though younger than her, was handsome and clever, confident and considerate, and made her feel safe. Boyu Yuanli thought of him as a younger brother she could trust, and was more than happy to chat with him. Their relationship grew increasingly ambiguous.

Just as they were about to take things to the next level, he suddenly disappeared. Even his childhood friend had no idea where he had gone.

Just when Boyu Yuanli thought their relationship was over, someone appeared on her balcony. His white suit was covered in blood, his black hair was disheveled and damp, and his breathing was ragged and heavy. When she reached out to help him, she saw that his face was flushed just as it had been the first time they met.

"Kudo-kun?"

Were you pretending to be a phantom thief this time?

After that, Kudo-kun started acting strangely. He no longer texted her like before, but appeared on her balcony whenever the moon rose, doing things a younger brother would never do.

But one day, the little boy from the Mouri Detective Agency grabbed her hand, stared sharply at the kiss marks on her wrist, and said something no child should say.

"You've got another man behind Big Brother Shinichi's back?"

Heavens know, Boyu Yuanli felt completely wronged.

She had only ever liked one man: Kudo-kun.

There had never been any love triangle.

◆ The heroine is a gorgeous superstar, so this may feel a little wish-fulfillment-y. She's slow to catch on emotionally and loves acting, taking an immersive approach to her roles. At first, she likes Shinichi for his face. It's an older woman/younger man romance. There will be both an open ending and a 1v1 ending.

◆ All the main characters are adults. The focus is on romance, not the main plot. She gets romantically involved with both men, and the relationships develop in stages. Neither man will be neglected.

One day, Kuroba Kaito saw that the family across the way, who had been abroad for years, had moved back. A beauty with long hair sat on the balcony, her eyes lowered. When she turned to look at him, he recognized the jewelry designer.

At the same time, he remembered: when he was little and had just learned magic, he went to see the pretty older sister who lived across the way. She had just turned down a classmate who was courting her, and he happily used a magic trick to present her with a vivid red rose.

"Pretty older sister, I want you to be my bride!" he said.

The pretty older sister raised an eyebrow, took the rose, and lightly tapped it against his forehead.

"Little boy, I don't like red roses, and that sort of thing doesn't work on me."

The heartbroken little boy cried all the way home.

Years later, the flamboyant thief in white pinned the haughty beauty against a wall. His breath hot, he asked in a low voice:

"What does work on you, big sister?"

◆ This story has a mountain of headcanons, and all the characters are adults. It's a story about love arriving at different times. Both characters have periods of unrequited love. There are some ShinRan elements, so be aware. The story will mix bittersweet and sweet moments.

◆ A somewhat clichéd story about a secret crush. I'm trying my hand at a healing, bittersweet romance. The title is inspired by Horimiya, and there will be a few cameos.

◆ Despite the secret crush, there will be several love-triangle showdowns. The romance will begin after the triangle is resolved.

The premise is tentative and may change later.
