[A love-triangle-turned-quadrangle with Red-side Bourbon, Jianhuajian, and Gin. Romance-focused, definitely out of character, featuring a scheming, sweet-talking puppy, a righteous and gentle puppy, and a loyal, sinister wolfdog fighting over one person. Written to indulge my tastes, with no logic.]
In the final battle between the good guys and the Black Organization, Gin, who refused to be captured even at the cost of his life, used a large quantity of explosives to die alongside the police. Bourbon, who was an undercover agent, was among those killed.
When he woke again, he had transmigrated to the first year after joining the Black Organization. He had already earned a codename through his exceptional skills, but to stop Gin's final act of madness, this time he decided to target Gin first and get control of the weakness of the organization's most troublesome and arrogant man.
To his surprise, he discovered that this utterly ruthless man carefully cherished a beautiful blind woman as if she were a flower: Oriyuki Mitsuka.
To learn more, he set his sights on Gin's woman.
She was blind, innocent, and easy to fool. He had approached her with ulterior motives, secretly winning her heart behind Gin's back and hoping to draw her to his side, so he could use her to stop Gin from taking them all down in the final battle.
But as things went on, he couldn't help being drawn to her. Without realizing it, he became devoted to her and developed a twisted possessiveness. For a moment, he wanted the woman who called Gin "A-jin" to say only his name.
He suppressed those thoughts as they took root, and kept his distance from her. He believed their relationship was nothing more than friendship, but his body seemed to long for her touch against his will. Then, one hazy night when he was drunk, he kissed the woman he called his older sister. As he sank further into this, he heard her ask:
"Toru, why are you like two different people, day and night?"
He realized something was wrong. Why was he always so tired? Then he discovered another self living inside his body: a completely black version of him from this world, who would claim Mitsuka even if it meant making an enemy of Gin.
Worse still, one night he awoke to find the older sister he had treated so carefully in his arms. At that moment, the door suddenly opened, and Gin, wounded during a mission, appeared in the doorway.
His pure-black self had set him up.
Content warnings:
◆ Main character is Red-side Bourbon. The ending is 1v1, though it seems like two people but is really a three-way rivalry. There will be multiple confrontations and plenty of White Album-style scenes.
◆ The heroine is genuinely blind and a little like a fragile flower. She will not be cured in the main story, though there may be an alternate-universe route.
◆ The heroine is not Gin's woman. She is his older sister in all but blood; they depend on each other, but are not related. They have complicated feelings, and other people assume she's his woman.
◆ Romance-focused, with little plot. Don't scrutinize the logic. Expect melodrama and wish-fulfillment.
