(Old synopsis)

No one knows that Yukikawa Rin, popular at school, cheerful and warmhearted, and beautiful on the outside, is actually an assassin.

Unlike everyone else, whenever she takes a life, she ends up in the wrong time and space. She only returns to her original world after dying once more.

Because of this, she is trapped in an endless cycle of death. She wears a perfect mask in front of everyone, while inwardly hating herself intensely. She smiles and acts as if she loves life, all the while longing desperately for death to come.

Until one day, the little detective in the blue suit suddenly appears in her life. Yukikawa Rin, who had resolved to die that summer, discovers that she no longer wants to die.

◆ The heroine feels gratitude and friendship toward her old friends. When she later meets the shrunken Conan, she still treats him as a child. Her only romantic interest is Detective Kudo.

◆ All the main characters are adults.

Shinichi Kudo, the high school great detective hailed by the media as Japan's savior, has had a childhood sweetheart he has loved since he was young and enjoys excellent grades. He's a born star, and admirers are never in short supply.

Then, on the day he turns eighteen, his life is turned upside down. Someone he had never noticed before appears in his life.

Tsukina Tachibana from the class next door is a girl no one pays attention to. She has short hair, wears black-rimmed glasses, gets average grades, and is quiet by nature. Yet she has a crush on the most dazzling person at school.

One close encounter makes her unwilling to remain ordinary. The unremarkable girl decides to change herself and bravely pursue the person she likes, but then that dazzling person suddenly disappears.

◆ There are mountains of headcanons. All the characters are adults. A story of love on different schedules: both have periods of one-sided love. There are some Shinichi and Ran scenes, so be warned. The story will mix sweet and sour moments.

◆ A somewhat cliched unrequited-love story. I'm trying my hand at a sweet-and-sour healing romance. The title is inspired by Horimiya, and there will be a little cameo.

◆ Despite the unrequited love, there will be several love triangles. It won't start until after the love-triangle storyline is finished.

Kaito/Her: The Beautiful Older Sister Who Lives Across from the Phantom Thief

[Cool, beautiful older woman X puppy-like younger man who hits on her by mistake]

An older woman-younger man romance. Canon pairing is with Kaito.

The jewel designer Usuno E, who rose to fame at a young age, is proud and self-assured. At the jewelry exhibition she is so proud of, a phantom thief descends from the sky and steals everyone's attention with a dazzling magic trick.

Kaito Kid is so brazen and flamboyant that everyone present can't help but cheer. Only the beautiful woman standing in the center watches him with a cool gaze. Acting on a selfish impulse, he takes advantage of the commotion to kiss the back of her slender, fair hand, stealing the design she had poured her heart into.

But the beautiful woman isn't angry. Instead, she looks in the direction he flew off and curls her lips into a smile.

That gaze is just like the one you'd give a mischievous child.

Kaito Kid feels as if she's looking down on him.

One day, much later, Kuroba Kaito sees the family across the street, who had been abroad for years, move back in. A beauty with long hair sits on the balcony, her eyes lowered. She turns to look at him, and he recognizes her as the jewelry designer.

At the same time, he remembers that when he was little and had just learned magic, he went to see the pretty older sister who lived across the street. She had just turned down a classmate who had confessed to her, so he excitedly used a magic trick to present her with a vivid red rose.

"Pretty older sister, I want you to be my bride!" he said.

The pretty older sister raised an eyebrow, took the rose, and gently tapped it against his forehead.

"Little boy, I don't like red roses, and that trick won't work on me."

The heartbroken little boy cried all the way home.

Years later, the flamboyant thief in white pins the haughty beauty against a wall. His breath hot, he asks in a low voice:

"Sis, what kind of trick works on you?"
