Eclipse

Opens on the 20th.

A new neighbor moves in next door: Xia Yongye, a red-haired punk whose every feature sets Zhou Lang's teeth on edge. Zhou Lang assumes they can simply keep to their own business, but first thing the next morning, he steps on his new neighbor's foot, gives his shiny leather shoes a milk bath, and sneezes at him three times. Zhou Lang's first impression of Xia Yongye is terrible. Xia Yongye's first impression of Zhou Lang is even worse.

Less than half a day after their first unpleasant conversation, they run into each other at a crime scene. Well, their neighborly relations are officially tense now. At first sight, they merely disliked each other. At second sight, they couldn't stand the sight of each other. By the third, they were clearly incompatible.

Three years ago, a massive fraud case knocked prodigy Zhou Lang off his pedestal. Once a brilliant talent, he became a public pariah, his good name in tatters. After being transferred to remote Yunchuan City, he spends his time scaling walls and rooftops and chasing criminals, constantly playing the part of a lone detective. The doctors at the hospital get a headache whenever they see him.

A case that seems to involve an accidental death binds Zhou Lang to Xia Yongye, who has come from America. As they investigate further, a vast criminal network is exposed. Zhou Lang's memories from before he turned ten, Xia Yongye's secrets, and a massive criminal organization lurking in the world's darkest corners all begin closing in on them, step by step.

The top is a cold-looking, short-tempered, one-track-minded detective with a tender heart. The bottom is aloof, loves to argue, responds to gentleness but not force, has a sensitive heart, and thinks in wonderfully strange ways.
