The Stubborn Master and His Defiant Disciple

Setting: When heaven and earth first formed, the world was a primordial chaos. Three venerable gods came into being: the Three-Legged Golden Crow, the Golden-Winged Roc, and the Nine-Tailed White Fox. Beneath the Three Venerable Gods, the world's order was established across the Four Realms: the God of Time, the God of Life, the God of Death, and the God of Law. Together, they were known as the Gods of the Four Realms, and they governed the order of the six realms. The gods reigned supreme beneath that order, and all were to heed their will. Those who disrespected or dishonored the gods were punished by heavenly retribution.

Lian Wu is a low-ranking goddess born in the Western Sea. She commands the most powerful divine weapon in the six realms, is the strongest fighter, the greatest genius at forging weapons, and the most unreasonable person around. After being framed and sent to the mortal world, she endured two decidedly unpleasant mortal lifetimes. When she returned and ascended to godhood, she also happened to pick up a foolish fox disciple named Xiu Yun, who can only cook porridge with greens or carrots. Life was fairly peaceful, but alas, the six realms were never at rest. Something happened here today, something else there tomorrow, and the endless patching-up never stopped.

Still, life was peaceful enough. Then the Demon Realm started causing trouble. Lian Wu thought her little disciple was innocent, but he actually had several secret identities. What's more, he wanted to start a forbidden romance with his master. Seriously? The fox cub she raised wanted to defy his elders. As if she'd ever allow that! But she never imagined that she, too, had several secret identities. She's so ruthless, she even manages to fool herself.

From ancient times to the present, through endless twists and turns and several lifetimes of reincarnation, from Changning Heaven to the Myriad Demons Hall, it has always been her. "Long time no see, my fated husband who has no hair to speak of."

A Golden Crow with countless clones, a schemer who crosses time and space to upend the order and trap her husband, secretly black-hearted and utterly devoted to her career VS an immortal Nine-Tailed Fox, blessed with more lives than tails, a hopeless romantic whose bad luck has him dying horribly every time

Theme: May all living beings be treated equally, and may peace reign throughout the world
