The whole novel is complete! Please leave a five-star review, and thank you all so much for your support!
My next novel will be "Gotham Diver (Food)". The blurb is at the end of the main text! It's a lighthearted, healing food story. If you're interested, please add it to your favorites!
Also known as "The Romantic Comedy of Two Straight Men," "I'm Not Coveting My Best Partner," and "Help, These Two Are So Blindingly Lovey-Dovey, Why Aren't They Together Yet?"
In this world, Batman went about being the world's best partner with his Kryptonian friend, locked up all the criminals, and lived an ordinary, happy, peaceful life.
Then one day, a voice suddenly told them: Your world is so uneventful that readers won't buy the comics. It's about to be canceled, and its pages will be replaced with a romantic comedy!
To save the world, Bruce resolutely declared:
I can do a romantic comedy too!
And so, the playboy Brucie, who believed he knew nothing about romance, set out after being bound to the Sweet Romance Plot System, carrying advice from the Batfamily:
- Thank you, Jason. Pride and Prejudice really is a timeless classic.
- Why would you read this stuff... Still, I have to admit, The Batgirl Wants Me to Confess has its merits.
- Twilight? All right, Tim. That's an option too.
- What the hell is Fifty Shades of Grey?!
And his co-star playing the female lead was... the Kryptonian next door!
Bruce looked up at the next-door boy scout in primary colors and underwear on the outside, then looked down at the script in his hands. His pupils trembled.
Do I really have to act out these scripts with my best partner, a completely straight man?!
The Overbearing CEO's Passionate Love Plot, the Substitute's Baby-on-the-Way Escape Plot, the Captive Wallflower's Torture-and-Tears Plot, the Over-the-Top Inheritance Battle Plot... Lots of scripts loading!
Bruce couldn't understand why everyone thought he and Clark were obviously meant to be together.
They were just close friends, soulmates, and partners who had faced life and death together. He paid no mind to other people's teasing or to the fake romantic tension acted out in the scripts.
So why had he lost control and kissed Clark that night? Why had his heart pounded so hard when he heard Clark confess something that wasn't in the script? And why, when he saw Clark about to die, had he thrown himself forward without hesitation? In that moment, only one thought filled his mind: even if he had to trade his own life for Superman's, he would protect him.
They really were just friends... weren't they?
He heard the Romance System tell him: You need to understand your own heart.
Notes:
1. This story was basically inspired by getting stabbed in the heart by angst. I'll never forget the person who recommended that story to me... (eyes) (eyes)
2. It's all sugar! Pure comedy, no angst. The author is writing absurdity with an extremely powerful state of mind.
3. See the author's note in Chapter One for content warnings.
Next novel: "Gotham Diver (Food)"
After winning so many awards you can barely hold them all, you decide to retire at the ripe old age of twenty-three and return to your mother's hometown of Gotham to enjoy your golden years.
The only inheritance your mother left you in Gotham is a fast-food restaurant on the verge of closing. It's the legacy she left you, and you can't bear to hand it over to someone else. So you decide to put your professional skills to use, regularly diving underwater to catch seafood, and keep the restaurant running by making freshly caught ingredients, killed and served on the spot, its selling point.
On your first day diving, you find a floating corpse underwater.
On your second day diving, you find a poison-gas bomb underwater.
On your third day diving, you find a huge cache of weapons underwater.
On your fourth day diving, you find a mermaid: a Bat-mermaid?!!
What, are you another Gotham specialty?
Nervously, you haul the notorious Bat-mermaid ashore and wonder whether you should call the police. But when you turn around, the huge black figure is gone. Only a bat coin on the windowsill shows that he was ever there.
From then on, a few handsome men regularly stop by the restaurant after work during the day, while vigilantes appear there at irregular intervals at night. Your restaurant gradually finds its footing in Gotham, and business grows more prosperous by the day.
That makes you realize:
So this is how the Bat repays a favor?
Life as a diver in Gotham isn't so bad after all!
A crossover with Dave the Diver. The heroine dives for fish by day and runs a restaurant at night. Light daily life and food!
The main text is in third person. See the author's note in Chapter One for content warnings.
Theme: Love can overcome anything, including sales and time
To be fair, isn't it true that "everything is planned" is the will of the universe that ultimately defeats the will of God? [Like]
This is the first time I read this type of article. It's very good 🤩 The writing style has the feel of a Western story, and it's also very humorous 🤩 Waiting for the end
The boss seems to have started a new article... Are you still writing this one? I really want to read it...
Boss, I miss you... When can I read the next article...
Sigh... It's still so bitter
Although I've watched a lot of British and American TV series, this seems to be the first time I've read a Superman novel hhhhhh
The supreme laughter is also 99! 🎉🎉🎉
