This is probably a quick transmigration field guide to obscure history and food tasting (?)
A handsome male lead who's both universally disliked and universally adored. He's extremely handsome, and extremely hungry.
...He often transmigrates into historical settings where it's hard to get enough to eat.
Synopsis:
Sometimes, Wan Qianzhang felt like his life was a tacky joke.
He'd studied by lamplight for over ten years and finally made it all the way to graduate school. Just when he could go to another university and feast in the cafeteria, he transmigrated.
A mysterious System appeared in his mind. It sounded fired up, but he had no idea what it was fired up about.
"Young man, there's no time to explain. Go save the world!"
"Your assigned role is the fourth male lead in this reverse-harem Western fantasy novel: a strong, handsome merman pirate. It's a great role!"
Wan Qianzhang: Wow, that's pretty good.
"Now, the story has reached the point where you've been caught and brought ashore to be put up for sale."
Wan Qianzhang: Hold on.
Before he could finish protesting, the System unceremoniously transported him to the mission world. Looking at the tasks he'd been assigned, Wan Qianzhang's brow twitched violently. He peered out of his cramped cage and decided that this was just what life was like.
More importantly, he was really hungry now. His stomach was twisted in knots. The hunger felt like it had soaked into his very bones. To exaggerate a little, there was a cage and a vendor in front of him, and the vendor looked much tastier. But Wan Qianzhang didn't want to choose. He wouldn't mind eating the cage as a snack first, then going after the vendor.
...No, wait. Why would he think that?

"Welcome to the island of Britain," the System said. "You... should know the legend that's widely told in Britain, right?"
Theme: Only love and good food deserve to be treasured
