[Naruto] Whispers When the Wind Rises in Konoha

"Big Sis, Big Sis, does my name mean 'reeds in summer'?"

Young Uchiha Luxia hugged a dictionary and looked up with a smile at the older sister who was all she had in the world.

Uchiha Izumi lovingly stroked her little sister's head and gently but firmly dispelled her guess.

"No, my dear. You're a loquat."

The "Lu" in Uchiha Luxia comes from the reed stalk.

From that day on, a tiny loquat sapling was planted. Sheltered by the Uchiha Clan's courtyard and growing under the gentle breeze of Konoha, it flourished.

Years later, the sapling had grown into a small tree. When it bore fruit for the first time,

Luxia had hoped to share the first harvest with her family and friends. Instead, she stood there clutching her one loquat, wide-eyed, and gave it to an unexpected guest.

Shisui: "Then I won't hold back. Who'd have thought I'd get a loquat just by coming out to look for Itachi?"

Itachi sighed. "Shisui-san..."

The clan head's younger son, sitting beside his older brother, saw the girl looking crestfallen and split his own loquat in half.

Sasuke awkwardly held out his right hand. "I'll share half with you, Uchiha Loquat."

Luxia: "It's Luxia! My name is Uchiha Luxia."

Izumi patted her head. "Yes, Luxia is my adorable little loquat sister."
