I'm Here to Love You

The game Turmoil became an instant hit upon its release. It featured multiple characters to pursue, and players could choose whom they wanted to romance.

One widely known supporting NPC in the game was Ying Chen.

Unloved since childhood, Ying Chen was abandoned by his parents and abused by the servants. Fragile and desperate for affection, he died young from poor health after reaching adulthood. Players liked pursuing him, but hated his extremely dark personality. So, after securing his hefty inheritance, they would unceremoniously forget this starting NPC.

Jian Zhen: "..."

How outrageous!!!

Looking at the game's profile of the delicate, adorable boy, Jian Zhen clenched his fist in anguish. How could such an adorable supporting character be reduced to cannon fodder? Don't you feel guilty for pursuing him and taking advantage of him?!

After finishing his lament...

Jian Zhen woke up the next morning and discovered that he had transmigrated into the game.

He looked at the frail figure by the school gate, then at Player Character 123 nearby, ready to suck up to Ying Chen and win him over. Jian Zhen rushed over without a second thought. He would protect the adorable supporting character's fate!!!

Ying Chen was reborn.

After dying and reloading more times than he could count, he began to suspect that he was a character in some kind of game. The people around him, whom he had once believed were his light and salvation, wore radiant smiles that concealed endless schemes.

Watching a player with ulterior motives approach, ready to raise his affection level, Ying Chen smiled cruelly and was just about to play along...

When someone suddenly grabbed his hand and ran.

He appeared at Ying Chen's side, scolded him harshly for accepting a stranger's kindness so easily, and used his own influence to scare him into watching out for his awful relatives. He made Ying Chen exercise, insisting it was for his health. He never humored him with sweet words, but everything he did was for Ying Chen's sake.

Ying Chen had always thought this was another trick played by a player, just a different approach.

Until Jian Zhen suddenly disappeared from his world for good.

When Ying Chen finally found him again, his eyes red, he pinned Jian Zhen beneath him. "Why have you been avoiding me? Weren't you here to win me over?"

Jian Zhen smiled and kissed the corner of his eye. "I wasn't here to win you over. I was here to love you."
