One day, Shi Mian transmigrates into a book and becomes the foil to the protagonist in a novel about a heartthrob at an elite academy.
A fool everyone hates, a cannon-fodder villain so dumb the protagonist can’t bring himself to face-slap him (awkward.jpg).
Shi Mian looks up at the sky and sighs: Other people transmigrate into books and become the protagonist. I transmigrate into a book and become a stupid, nasty cannon-fodder villain! Where’s the justice?
To avoid earning the original character’s slum-dweller achievement from the original story, Shi Mian has no choice but to use the three moves he developed for acting like a sweet, innocent schemer.
1. Pretend to be innocent
2. Act cute
3. Play the innocent white lotus
*
Here’s how to use the three moves:
First move: Pretend to be innocent
Young Master A is making snide remarks at Shi Mian. Then he sees the person he was mocking staring at him with tearful, wounded eyes. Shi Mian pushes through the crowd, walks up to him, and says with a choked voice, “It’s my fault. Could you please stop being angry?”
Young Master A: Why do I suddenly feel guilty?
Second move: Act cute
Young Master B is gossiping about how Shi Mian has been acting like a spoiled brat lately, when he notices a head poking up from the crowd. The spoiled brat’s most prominent cowlick droops. He apologizes to Young Master B like a little cat: “I’m sorry. I’ll definitely stop being such a brat.”
Young Master B: What’s wrong with being a brat? Don’t discriminate against people’s personalities!
Third move: Play the innocent white lotus
Young Master C deliberately throws a ball at Shi Mian’s back while they’re playing. He expects the troublemaker to start a fight, but Shi Mian instead picks up the ball, walks over, and says, holding back tears, “I’m sorry. Don’t blame the ball. Blame me for not seeing it.”
Young Master C: That stupid ball! I’m throwing it out tonight!

But no matter what Shi Mian does, he can’t win over Song Xuan, the aloof academy heartthrob.
No matter how often he tries the three moves, Song Xuan remains unmoved.
Until one day, Shi Mian tries to show off the waist where a piece of metal scraped him, so he can make the young masters feel sorry for him. But before he can lift his shirt, someone grabs his hand.
That cool voice sounds from behind him: “Mianmian, you’re being naughty.”
Only then does Shi Mian realize that Song Xuan took his promise, made while trying to win him over, seriously: “From now on, I’ll only be nice to Big Brother.”
Late at night, the little schemer sits on the big bed, facing the cool-headed top student kneeling on one knee.
The boy’s calf gets bitten, and he lets out a soft whimper.
Song Xuan is no longer as cool and restrained as he was during the day. His voice hoarse, he says, “Baby, you’re sweet all over.”
[Real sweet-talking brat shou x Fake aloof dom young master gong]
#Song Xuan, Big Brother, I want to buy a bag. Song Xuan, Big Brother, I want to eat... Hey! I didn’t mean that!
Reader’s Guide:
1. The gong and shou are both completely devoted to each other. The shou becomes everyone’s favorite later on, and most supporting characters’ affection is platonic. There won’t be any sweet interactions between the protagonist and other characters that bait readers with fake ships. Readers with strong character preferences, please proceed with caution.
2. Both are sexually inexperienced, and this is their first love. Happy ending.
3. Sweet, sweet, sweet romance. The blurb’s joke was written on June 8, 2025.
Theme: Building good relationships is a big step in getting along with others.
