How Could My Childhood Friend Be a Love Tyrant?!

*

Meng Yizhen has always been deeply attached to his childhood neighbor, whom he idolizes as an older brother.

His childhood friend is gentle, speaking in a soft voice. He's the sort of person Meng Yizhen, usually cool and distant, has always wanted to become.

But recently, Meng Yizhen realized that his childhood friend didn't seem to want him to depend on him anymore.

So he started cutting back on his close contact with Lu Zhiling.

Though withdrawal was painful, Meng Yizhen succeeded.

The result was that Lu Zhiling got upset and grabbed Meng Yizhen, demanding to know why he wasn't being clingy anymore.

Troubled by this, Meng Yizhen chose to confide in an older student he'd only recently met.

The older student said, "It sounds like he doesn't want you clinging to him, but he gets upset when you stop."

"How about this? Keep me updated, and I'll analyze the situation for you."

Some time later, Meng Yizhen got a call from the older student.

Her voice was grave. "You can't bring food to anyone else, only him. You can't grant anyone else's requests, only his. You can't comfort anyone else who's sad, only him..."

"Meng Yizhen, is your childhood friend some kind of love tyrant?"

Though he didn't understand what a love tyrant was, Meng Yizhen figured out one thing: Lu Zhiling wasn't sick of his clingy habits.

"That's great! So he does want me to cling to him."

The older student fell silent, then replied after a long pause, "I mean, he's treating you as if you're dating, and demanding that you act accordingly. And he's more possessive than people usually are in a relationship."

Meng Yizhen: O.o?

It's fine... At least Lu Zhiling doesn't hate him, right?

Besides, he's clingy too. So what if Lu Zhiling is a little possessive?

Later, after Meng Yizhen received a love letter from someone else, Lu Zhiling pinned him to the dorm bed and kissed him until he could barely breathe.

Meng Yizhen tried to push Lu Zhiling away, muttering softly, "Stop kissing me."

But Lu Zhiling buried his face in the crook of Meng Yizhen's neck, breathing in the scent of the person in his arms. "Baby, I'm having another episode... I want to lock you away so badly."

Helpless, Meng Yizhen could only offer his neck, letting Lu Zhiling mark it with kisses.
