The Monsoon Knows My Heart

Dark, obsessive business tycoon x tough, stubborn perfumer

Shen Zhixin's father got involved in financing, ran up a mountain of debt, then fled and disappeared, leaving her all alone.

Jiang Jishen, her father's biggest creditor, sent his men to Shen Zhixin's home to find him. Seeing the bare, empty house, they took Shen Zhixin away instead.

Shen Zhixin: "..."

Jiang Jishen had unruly silver hair and wore a moon-white suit. Under the lights, his handsome face looked sickly pale.

He sat in his office chair, long legs propped on the desk as he toyed with a lighter.

Jiang Jishen studied the trembling Shen Zhixin and told her he could pay for her education, but she would have to stay and lure her debt-dodging father back.

Shen Zhixin knew her father was utterly heartless. He had been willing to put her and her mother's safety at risk for money, so there was no way he'd put himself in danger for her now.

But to protect herself, Shen Zhixin agreed against her better judgment.

Jiang Jishen kept his promise. Not only did he cover all of Shen Zhixin's high school expenses, he also took good care of her in daily life.

But in the business world, Jiang Jishen was a demon whose name struck fear into everyone.

Shen Zhixin was grateful to Jiang Jishen, but even more afraid of him. So after graduation, she packed her bags and ran away without hesitation.

During her wonderful summer break in her first year of college, Shen Zhixin went to the place her upperclassman had sent her to meet him for dinner.

But the person who emerged from the darkness was Jiang Jishen.

Drenched in rain, Jiang Jishen tore up the little card on which the upperclassman had confessed to Shen Zhixin, right in front of her.

He brushed the back of his hand over Shen Zhixin's deathly pale cheek and looked at her with amusement.

"Xiao Zhi, you've been a bad girl."

"Now, come home with me."
