A Confession Amid Scattered Time

Bright, vibrant girl x cold, aloof beauty with a dark side

After evening self-study in her first year of high school, He Nianyin saw her secret crush, the older student Bai Luoqi, sitting dejectedly on the steps in the rain.

She went over and offered Bai Luoqi an umbrella.

That was the only time they crossed paths in high school.

He Nianyin ran into Bai Luoqi again on her university campus.

He was nothing like the sunny, handsome boy she remembered. His eyes and brows now held nothing but sharpness and hostility.

Yet He Nianyin still couldn't help falling for him.

One rainy night, He Nianyin was walking along when she met Bai Luoqi coming out of a restaurant.

Without saying a word, Bai Luoqi silently held his umbrella over her and walked her back to her dorm.

Standing on the steps outside, He Nianyin watched Bai Luoqi's tall figure disappear into the rain. Her heart stirred, and she called after him:

"Senior."

Bai Luoqi turned back beneath his umbrella.

Dressed all in black, his thin lips were reddened by the cold rain. Even the hazy mist couldn't soften the aloofness and pride about him.

He Nianyin clenched her hands and summoned her courage:

"Could I add you on WeChat?"

After adding Bai Luoqi on WeChat, He Nianyin gazed at his profile picture every day, delighted. But aside from matters involving their club, she didn't dare message him about anything else.

Then, late one night

Unable to sleep, He Nianyin impulsively put on her dinosaur pajamas and filmed herself dancing wildly. She sent the video to her best friend, then lay back on her bed, contentedly waiting for a reply.

Five minutes later, a notification sounded. But the person who had replied was Bai Luoqi.

Bai Luoqi: ?

Bai Luoqi: The green stripes suit you. You have great taste.

In his early twenties, Bai Luoqi had made a name for himself in financial circles by using ruthless, decisive tactics to help his father take back the company.

Everyone around him thought he was cruel and heartless.

Only Bai Luoqi knew that there had always been a girl in his heart.

When he was at his most wretched and helpless, she had offered him an umbrella.

He never expected that this umbrella would make him lose his heart.

"Time flows on without end. My confession to you leaps from the page, scattered through the boundless years."
