Though he sometimes dozed off in class, Mouri's biology grades were decent, and he was pretty sure people didn't lay eggs.

So could someone explain what this persimmon-red egg was doing on his bed when he woke up?

The thirteen-year-old Mouri had just moved to Kanagawa Prefecture. Today, once again, he thought that the Kanto region, where people apparently laid eggs, was seriously weird.

Bonus Scene

"You're saying you're the person I want to be?"

Mouri was supposed to be slacking off, but after being forced into a makeover, he had ended up on a tennis court. He didn't believe a word this self-proclaimed "Guardian Character" said.

"How could the person I want to be possibly be this hardworking?!"

The cat even argued its case with impeccable logic.

Then, after being forced to train all day, Mouri belatedly realized that this wasn't over yet.

Why did the person he wanted to be not only enjoy training, but also get along with everyone so easily, huh?

Just let him go slack off already!

He didn't want to hang around Kanto people while speaking in a weird Kansai accent!
