My Archenemy Brought Me Back to Life

I have a rival whom everyone in the industry knows I can't stand.

We can't stand the sight of each other. When it comes to teaming up for bounty missions, it's either me or him, never both of us.

But who could've guessed that in the end, I'd become teammates with that guy?

Because this time, the client was paying way too much.

The difficulty of the mission matched the hefty fee, as did our all-star team:

Break into the laboratory of a biotech conglomerate and steal a resurrection drug under development.

Before the mission began, I reminded myself to be on my guard.

Knowing that guy, he might stab his teammates in the back as soon as we got our hands on the drug, then take the entire reward for himself.

Things went wrong during our extraction.

In the end, I died.

My last memory was of my rival's face rushing toward me at lightning speed.

Maybe it was a hallucination caused by blood loss, but he looked stunned and furious, as if he couldn't believe I'd dared to die before him.

Tch. Even in death, he wouldn't leave me alone. What bad luck.

When I opened my eyes again, I was lying in a place that looked like a laboratory. There were marks from an IV injection on my arm, and the air around me reeked of blood.

There was also an empty bottle tipped over beside me. I took a closer look.

Wasn't this the bottle of resurrection drug?!

I stared up in shock and abruptly met someone's gaze.

My rival sat on the nearby lab table, idly twirling a syringe in his hand as he silently watched me.
