The Three-Hundred-Year-Old Neighbor Next Door

Ingrid spent half her life hunting vampires. Still young, she had saved enough to retire with honor. After saying goodbye to her life as a hunter, Ingrid had only one regret: she had never managed to kill her number one target, a vampire named Julius. Ingrid was pleased with her new home, especially the soundproofing. The neighboring apartment seemed vacant; she had never seen anyone come or go. At midnight on her tenth day in the new place, unable to sleep, Ingrid happened to look through the peephole and caught a glimpse of her mysterious neighbor, who never left the apartment: Pale skin, vivid red lips, black hair, and such striking looks that he could have been Snow White if she were a man. Ingrid: Huh? Isn't that Julius? · On a whim, Julius joined a temperance sect of vampires and moved into an apartment building full of humans to test his self-control, taking on the challenge of going 99 days without hunting humans. On the 90th day, a human moved in next door. She smelled delicious. And... somehow familiar? Julius searched through his vast memories for a moment, then laughed aloud. Ah, so it was her. It had been the closest encounter to death in his long life. “Dear neighbor, it's a pleasure to meet you.” *Still hunter vs. vampire. *This takes place later than Evil Ways. The world is relatively peaceful, so this time it should have a happy ending. Theme: Maintain a healthy state of mind
