After the Mute Was Targeted by a Two-Faced Top

The noble school reshuffled its senior-year classes, and Duan An, the invisible, mute nobody, ended up in the same class as Pei Jin, the campus heartthrob. They became deskmates.

On the first day of school, Duan An discovered he could hear Pei Jin's thoughts.

Before he even had time to be surprised, Duan An was scared stiff.

As soon as Pei Jin arrived, a classmate offered him breakfast. Pei Jin gently refused: "Sorry, I can't accept something I haven't earned."

But inside, he thought: A five-yuan breakfast from the school gate? Even my dog wouldn't eat that.

After morning reading, Pei Jin realized he'd forgotten his uniform. A classmate offered to lend him one, and he said with concern, "You only brought one, so you'd better keep it for yourself."

But inside, he thought: My uniform is custom-made and costs hundreds of thousands. I can't wear clothes that cost less than that. I'll have an allergic reaction.

The classmate was touched. Duan An was numb with disbelief.

Duan An spent the whole morning on edge, afraid to meet Pei Jin's eyes.

It was so obvious that Pei Jin asked him, "Do you need help?"

Duan An thought Pei Jin was about to insult him in his mind and call him crazy. Instead, he heard: So pitiful, so cute. I really want to kidnap him and screw him.

Duan An: !!! He hurriedly signed that he was fine.

Pei Jin immediately put on a concerned expression and misread his signs. "Do you really need help?"

Duan An looked utterly bewildered, on the verge of tears: !!! Is he doing this on purpose?

A mind-reading mute cutie bottom x a fake-gentle, actually sex-obsessed top whose heart is set on nothing but getting laid.

The top is a sharp-tongued comedian, dedicated to making everyone drop dead laughing.

My take on a noble school, a short, old-school-style story. Every detail serves the plot. If I get anything wrong, I'll immediately correct it in the author's note.

No outline, just writing for fun. It's a short story, so feel free to bookmark it. The characters won't change, but the basic setup might! I was stuck for a while, but after talking with a friend, I figured out the problem and feel more confident now. I may still change a few details.
