An Aristocratic Academy, but the Commoner Is Everyone's Favorite

They speculate in an anonymous forum about why he transferred; rate every student’s looks, family background, and grades, then compile a secret Seville ranking; hold a pointless ghost-hunting event during the Festival of the Departed; spread rumors in the forum about him and the student council president... Although Lin Tingwei has no desire to cause trouble, sometimes trouble comes looking for him, from troublesome incidents to troublesome people. His roommate, who appears and disappears without a trace; an overly enthusiastic first-year; that first-year’s arrogant childhood friend; the self-righteous student council president; and a short-tempered, sharp-tongued classmate who might be a masochist... Lin Tingwei knows it, and assumes Ji Siming probably thinks he’s a money-grubbing commoner pretending to be above it all. He simply looks at Ji Siming and gives him a faint smile, until Ji Siming turns away and avoids his gaze. He actually knew Ji Siming long ago. On some rainy day in the future, when Ji Siming comes home, he’ll find Lin Tingwei sitting on his father’s lap. Lin Tingwei will look at him, offer him the same smile as always, and say, “You’re back.” TIPS: 1. A taciturn, offbeat uke and various semes. 2. All semes are pure. The uke took a secondary gender test long ago and knows he’s most likely a late-blooming Beta. For the sake of the band’s harmony, he secretly meets his bandmates one at a time on different days, acting as a human suppressant for them. Even the uke has no idea why he can calm his bandmates down during their heats when he’s a Beta. * The uke’s good luck strikes again. On a workday just before the band’s debut, a paparazzo staking out the company snaps a picture of him. It’s an exceptionally good shot: the uke has just taken off his mask, revealing his beautiful profile, his two signature beauty marks, and the corners of his eyes and the tip of his nose, slightly reddened by the cold winter wind. By the time the uke himself finds out, he’s already become famous because of the photo. Nothing he can do about it. Maybe he was born to be famous; he went viral before he even debuted. The anonymous forum is abuzz. [This just gave that damn company another lease on life.] [Isn’t that our school’s top student? When did he become a trainee?] [Doesn’t look like an Alpha. Is he a bandmate or the group’s wife?] As it turns out, the uke’s good luck isn’t just a fluke. After the group officially debuts, their numbers are astonishing, and the uke effortlessly takes the top spot. But then something unexpected happens. The uke, who thought he was definitely a Beta, finally presents, and to his surprise, he becomes an Omega. The uke thinks that if he managed to keep his four ex-boyfriends a secret, he can certainly hide the fact that he’s an Omega, too. The uke, still brimming with confidence, has no idea his bandmates will discover that he’s an Omega. And one day in the future, the four of them will corner him in a room and interrogate him all at once: “What’s your relationship with them?” TIPS: 1. The next day, the brand drops that idol’s endorsement deal. - At first, Zhiling thinks it’s just a coincidence. But later, an idol who bullied him also loses an endorsement deal; another idol who used him as a target for comparison in a marketing campaign gets exposed and falls from fame... After it happens over and over, people start calling Zhiling a lucky charm. Plenty of marketing accounts jump on the bandwagon: Repost this Zhiling, and anyone who’s been nasty to you will get what’s coming tomorrow! These incidents make Zhiling more widely known, drawing in a large number of new fans. He actually becomes famous! Zhiling knows idols shouldn’t contact fans privately, but he still secretly messages his fan: Thank you so much. Um, would you like an autographed album? The fan replies: Can you sign it in person? - After Zhiling becomes famous, he and his bandmates get busy. One day, his manager takes him to discuss a new endorsement deal. When they arrive, Zhiling learns that the young master of the conglomerate has come to meet them in person. After successfully securing the deal, the young master stops Zhiling and says he’d like to talk with him alone. When the two of them reach a quiet, deserted corner, the young master suddenly pulls out an album. The young master says, “We agreed you’d sign it in person.” Zhiling: “...Huh?” TIPS: 1.
