Blurb
He was given his master's surname. Found in a bamboo grove on the back mountain, he was named Zhu Yi. After joining the Daoist sect, he was given the Daoist name Yuxuan.
Now, five-year-old young Daoist Yuxuan was a little confused.
He had only gone to Sit and Think Peak, as usual, to meditate for the day. How had the place changed the moment he opened his eyes?
This was still Sit and Think Peak, but it looked completely different from what he knew. And why did that dilapidated-looking Daoist temple in the distance look so much like his master's Xuanyang Temple?
Shen Yuzhou had hidden his identity as the Shen family's heir to enter the entertainment industry, only to end up as an unknown nobody. His manager had signed him up for a reality show about raising kids.
At the age of twenty-three, Shen Yuzhou said, "I don't even have a kid! Who am I supposed to take on the show?!"
Then his dad gave him a kid.
The child was five, dressed in a little Daoist robe with a taiji symbol and a small wooden sword strapped to his back. He clasped his hands solemnly. "Greetings, my little grandnephew. I am the young Daoist Pei Zhu Yi, Daoist name Yuxuan. I look forward to your guidance."
As he spoke, the pacifier in his mouth accidentally fell out. The child hurriedly caught it and put it back in.
Shen Yuzhou, utterly baffled, turned to look at his dad. "Huh?"
His dad's expression was more complicated than anything Shen Yuzhou had ever seen. "Anyway, this is... Just call him Junior Granduncle. I'll leave him in your care for now. Treat him well."
It was the first time his dad had ever entrusted something to him so solemnly.
Shen Yuzhou: "Sure."
At first, Shen Yuzhou was full of doubt.
A junior granduncle who sucked on a pacifier? The outfit was pretty convincing, but that little wooden sword had to be a toy, right?
Then his junior granduncle jumped two meters into the air and kicked away a flowerpot that was about to hit Shen Yuzhou's head. With one swing of the wooden sword, he split a boulder rolling down the hillside. Shen Yuzhou immediately dropped to his knees and offered him his pacifier.

Reading Guide:
1. Set in a fictional world, with reclusive sects, Daoist and Buddhist schools, and similar elements. Please don't conflate it with reality.
2. None of the entertainment-industry characters are based on real people. Please don't associate them with real-life celebrities.
3. No romance. The story is about the young junior granduncle and his pacifier-handing little underling, the guy mentioned above, so the latter will have a lot of scenes.
4. The kid is five and still uses a pacifier because he wants to. He'd never seen one before and thought it was fun.
Theme: A little kid whips the entertainment industry into shape.
