The Daily Life of Atobe's Younger Brother as a Saniwa

[Featured Note: This story mainly focuses on Hyotei and Seigaku.]

My name is Fujiwara Jingchen, the second son of the Atobe family and heir to the Fujiwara family.

I always thought I would follow in my older brother Keigo's footsteps, study diligently, and inherit the family business. Then one day, a little fox with a complicated coat came looking for me. It said I was a Saniwa and asked me to save the world.

Uh, I actually just wanted to be an ordinary heir.

But I really am interested in spiritual power. A Saniwa, you say? I'm in.

After finally making it through the fight against the Time Retrograde Army, the government said I could take my swords home and lie flat in retirement.

Retiring as a teenager is a little strange, but it suits me just fine.

But can someone tell me what these remnants of the Time Retrograde Army that keep popping up are all about?

So much for taking it easy. Am I supposed to keep our world safe on the side, too?

And what's this about worlds merging? Don't suddenly crank up the difficulty, government!

Reader's Guide:

1. The blurb is in first person, while the story itself is in third person.

2. This is a laid-back daily-life story about spending time with the swords and everyone else, with a bit of world-saving on the side. The pace is slow, so readers looking for a fast-moving plot may want to skip it.

3. I couldn't find the story I wanted, so I wrote it myself. There may be lots of original details. If a character feels out of character, you can blame me, not them. It's all my fault.

4. The pairing is set: a certain icy Seigaku captain (I still love him).

5. Important note: This is a slice-of-life story, so there won't be much about matches. (Added after starting: I stopped following The New Prince of Tennis a long time ago, and this story won't follow it either. Some characters and settings from The New Prince of Tennis won't appear here. Please skip it if that bothers you.)

6. The early story mainly features Touken Ranbu, The Prince of Tennis, and other sports anime. Detective Conan and Jujutsu Kaisen will be integrated later, and their storylines will also come later.

7. The romance may take a while to develop, probably until the middle or later part of the story.

That's all I can think of for now. I'll add more later.

Here's a preview of my upcoming story, Have the Childhood Friends Eloped with Each Other Today?

Mainly Haikyu!!, pairing with Tezuka.

Aoki Takuto has a childhood friend. He's meticulous and careful, has keen powers of observation, and is excellent at ball control, making him a promising setter. But the other guy has tennis on the brain.

Tezuka Kunimitsu has a childhood friend. He's quick on his feet, can jump incredibly high, and has amazing arm strength. He's suited to both singles and doubles, but the other guy is a volleyball dunce.

Aoki Takuto: Kunimitsu, set the ball for me! I want to try a really tricky spike!

Tezuka Kunimitsu: Takuto, work on the Tezuka Zone with me today.

Aoki Takuto: You should play volleyball and become the sharpest setter around!

Tezuka Kunimitsu: I think tennis would make the best use of your abilities.

Aoki Takuto: Today is another day I want to get Kunimitsu to play volleyball.

Tezuka Kunimitsu: How can I get this volleyball dunce to like tennis?

From elementary school to middle school, then from middle school to high school, they never gave up trying to get each other to play volleyball or tennis.

By the time they reached university, neither of them had succeeded.

But the good news was that they managed to win each other over in another way.

Well, getting someone to be your boyfriend counts as eloping with him, doesn't it?

A childhood-friend romance about growing up together.
