Sanity-Loss Writing Simulator

Novelist Chun Qiong gets a writing simulator.

The simulator displays only three personal attributes: [Sanity], [Inspiration], and [Skill].

What kind of attribute is Sanity? She has no idea.

She might as well put all her spare Sanity points into Inspiration!

With more inspiration, she finally stops getting writer's block!

Writing becomes easy, and her stories grow ever more moving.

Chun Qiong becomes an enormously successful novelist, with legions of devoted readers. Every book even has its own fan club...

Some fans are just a little too passionate, though. They go beyond supporting her and practically form a religious organization, endlessly claiming that her stories will come true and that one day she will descend into the real world.

Chun Qiong: "..."

Then they make merchandise for her novels, commission fan art, produce audiobooks, and buy the adaptation rights to make movies.

Chun Qiong: "..."

Oh, well. She should keep writing more stories for her readers!

Qin Sui, a core investigator with the Anomaly Investigation Bureau, has a crush on Chun Qiong.

Thump, thump.

Every time they meet, his heart races.

Later, they run into each other in a different setting.

Thump, thump, thump! Thumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthump

His heart bursts through his chest, painting frenzied characters in blood on the ground. Qin Sui hears countless voices shrieking in his mind all at once:

Don't look up. Don't open your eyes. Don't think! Run!

The heroine, Chun Qiong, who has no idea what they're talking about and thinks she's perfectly normal x the hero, Qin Sui, who was ready to sacrifice himself for his career but never imagined this was what that meant

Notes:

1. The heroine isn't entirely normal. This is an unconventional story with a female lead.

2. Sanity usually refers to a character's rationality. The lower the Sanity, the less rational they are.

3. High Inspiration makes it easier to sense unusual things...

Theme: You have to fight for the life you want.
