After the Laid-Back One Was Forced into a Political Marriage

[The writing went off the rails. Don't read!]

–

After working late into the night, office worker Jiang Qingtang accidentally fell down some steps. When she woke up, she had become Naheya, the newborn princess of the Liao Kingdom.

She spent fifteen carefree years there. Then the Liao Kingdom was defeated, and she was sent to the Central Plains for a political marriage.

At the welcoming banquet, the eldest prince, Chu Heng, bluntly declared that he had fallen for Naheya at first sight and forcibly took his younger brother's bride.

-

Chu Heng was a failed child prodigy, and everyone in the capital said Naheya had chosen the wrong branch to climb.

Naheya didn't care. She only wanted to go home.

It was only after they married that she discovered Chu Heng was merely a pitiable man trapped in a nightmare.

She knew their marriage was only a transaction and didn't dare give him her heart. Yet she couldn't help bringing him a bowl of hot porridge when he was down, or saying, "I believe him," when others falsely accused him.

–

Chu Heng had always thought he would die on the day he avenged his mother.

For decades, he had schemed carefully and endured humiliation. He wanted nothing more than justice.

But later, he suddenly found he couldn't bear to leave.

After a lifetime of darkness, a ray of light had finally reached him. He wanted to live, and then ask her:

"Naheya, stay."

"Or take me with you."
