Zhe Han got into a university in another city. She had wanted to share the news with Que Shulai, her friend of seven or eight years, but then remembered that she and Que Shulai had been apart for a long time.

When Zhe Han learned that Que Shulai had gone to W City, she hurried there.

Que Shulai had disappeared.

Neither her teachers nor her classmates knew where she had gone.

Zhe Han had no intention of giving up. After getting permission, she entered Que Shulai's room.

At last,

Zhe Han found a box in her room.

Inside were the little bird hair clip she had once given Que Shulai, the notes they had passed in class, some cute candies, a dried flower she had casually slipped into Que Shulai's textbook...

and an old camera belonging to Que Shulai.

On a whim, Zhe Han turned it on. There was only one video inside.

It showed the two of them playing a piano piece in the school's disused music room on Que Shulai's seventeenth birthday.

In a corner Zhe Han couldn't see, Que Shulai, who had her back to the camera in the video, gave a playful wink.

Que Shulai's bizarre disappearance frightened Zhe Han.

An invitation to a game arrived out of nowhere, along with a yellowed rulebook for a forbidden zone. The invitation link came from...

Que Shulai.

Zhe Han decided to investigate. After all, Que Shulai was her best friend. She had to find her and apologize properly.

She clicked the game link, and the forbidden zone's rules immediately appeared:

[Players begin in different locations and with different identities. Do not reveal your identity to anyone. Only your mother may know.]

[If you encounter a woman who has become a consumptive, stop attacking her and use a purification item instead. Otherwise, you alone will bear the consequences.]

[All management staff and senior leaders appearing in the various instances are women. If a man claims to be a manager here, ignore what he says and kill him immediately.]

"Forbidden Zone Background"

Before anyone noticed, the T112 virus broke out in the southernmost part of Snaider. Infected humans and animals underwent mutations and became known as "consumptives." The Special Operations Team was established to rescue the uninfected, prevent disaster, and purify the "consumptives." Places contaminated by "consumptives" were collectively known as forbidden zones.

Short Scene 1:

Que Shulai was two years older than Zhe Han. She said she wanted to make up for Zhe Han's eighteenth birthday, and Zhe Han was so entranced just by looking at Que Shulai's face that she could barely think straight.

Somehow, Que Shulai coaxed her into bed.

She was coaxed, word by word, into saying, "I'm willing to belong to you completely."

Short Scene 2:

If you asked Que Shulai what moment had left the deepest impression on her in the first half of her life, it was when young Zhe Han ran up to her. Her lovely eyes shone as she looked at Que Shulai. Que Shulai could almost see two fluffy ears on Zhe Han's head and a tail swishing behind her.

"You're so pretty. Can I be your friend?"

"Sure."

That was what Que Shulai heard herself say.

In truth, she had liked Zhe Han for a very, very long time.

Short Scene 3:

Que Shulai hadn't expected Zhe Han to be so clueless. She didn't look at any of the clues Que Shulai had left for her.

Zhe Han: You mean the bloody handprints, ghost faces, and headless corpses???

Que Shulai looked innocent. But they're all valid clues.

Zhe Han: You scared your girlfriend away.

Que Shulai was still explaining.

Zhe Han: I don't understand. I want a kiss.

Reading Guide:

1. The entire main cast is female.

The world is not entirely female, but 95% of the characters are women, with a few male cannon fodder characters.

All the male NPCs who appear are cannon fodder and will die. Most of them are killed by the female leads.

Monsters and the like have no gender. There will be no female rivalry or male characters stealing the spotlight.

Please note: Female villains will appear because the instance plots require them, but they are not absolute villains.

Both leads were in the real world before they were transported.

2. Mild horror and mild gore. Older woman/younger woman, two years apart.

The bottom is the strongest and has a golden finger. Later, the story has a strong "everyone thinks she's a mastermind" vibe.

The top is a female ghost early on, a real ghost. The character dynamic is roughly snake-and-dog. The bottom can be a little slow to catch on, and the romance is a long slow burn, perhaps. The early story has more of the bottom's point of view. They switch roles later.

3. Both leads have secret identities!! Their factions and positions differ later, so... they switch roles.
