Oriel is playing a work-simulation game on easy mode.
In the game, he's a new GCPD officer living in Gotham, a bright city on easy mode. His superiors support him, his coworkers care about him, and the city's crime rate is low.
After grinding and spending his way to a speedrun, Oriel finds it ridiculously easy.
So when Oriel takes his max-level police account into New Game Plus on super-hard mode, he finds himself in the middle of a fierce battle, with people looting and killing all around him.
He politely asks a passerby, "Excuse me, is this Gotham?"
The passerby replies, "Gotham? This is Metropolis, the safest city in the country. You didn't know that?"
Oriel looks at the unmentionable body part that just whizzed past his ear and is delighted. So this game can be challenging after all?
In an age when the old order has collapsed, all heroes have become outcasts.
An evil Superman has brought a new order to the world.
Batman leads the resistance, hiding in an underground city and searching for an opportunity to strike back, but they're almost out of supplies.
The missing Nightwing has cast a shadow over Batman's heart.
Then a strange man appears, claiming to be a GCPD officer.
Batman regards him coldly. "The Gotham City Police Department has been gone for ages."
Oriel's eyes light up. "So can I be commissioner?"
While exploring the wasteland, Oriel finds a badly injured man in an abandoned mine.
He opens the System and enters the man's information.
He is shocked to discover that the man is a fellow officer: Dick Grayson, a cop from Bludhaven.
The nerve of them, Oriel thinks indignantly. He's going to arrest everyone who attacks a cop.
Pairing: Dick
