The Pure-Hearted Movie Emperor Confesses His Secret Crush on Me from His Alt Account

One morning in the early hours, Xie Changyi, an obscure minor celebrity who had just fallen asleep, was jolted awake by his manager's nonstop calls.

Still seething with sleepiness, he said darkly, "You'd better have a good reason for waking me up."

"Chen Jiang confessed to you on Weibo! The new three-time Golden Award-winning Best Actor, Chen Jiang! Do you know him?"

Xie Changyi: ?

Wasn't he just exposed as a scumbag?

What does that have to do with me?

Sitting on his bed, Xie Changyi thought it over. Since entering the industry, aside from running into the guy in their neighborhood, waiting in line at an amusement park, shooting magazine covers, and going to the movies and shopping, he didn't think they'd had any other interaction.

Later, Chen Jiang's alt account was dug up.

"I saw his traffic violation today and secretly helped cover it up."

Xie Changyi: ?

Are you sure you're not one of my antis?

"My wife's Weibo announced she's holding a concert. I'm jealous."

"I secretly bought every ticket, hehe. I'm the only one who gets to see my wife."

Xie Changyi: So you're the one who made sure hardly anyone showed up to my performance and then got me mocked all over the internet?

Please note:

1. A short comedy full of memes, not a particularly serious entertainment-industry story. (I admit it, I just want to play with memes.)

2. The leads' names are taken from the line, "I hear the clear river is pure as a silk ribbon, and it makes me think of Xie Xuanhui." Chen (pronounced Chen, second tone) Jiang, and Xie Changyi (Yi, fourth tone).

3. The cover is from my lovely Yu Yi! Just imagine an obsessive top in a dark room, gazing at his wife on his phone (drooling).

4. The original title didn't pass review, so I put it in the one-line description.

5. More to come~

Theme: Don't believe rumors or spread them. Let's build a harmonious society together.
