Synopsis:

The boy with black curls and two moles above his eyebrows has two childhoods in his memories, each with a completely different color.

The first half is as plain as water; the second half is as vivid as a rainbow.

The turning point between them comes one autumn afternoon, when a family named Yukimura moves in next door.

When they were still little, Sakusa Kiyoomi met a girl named Yukimura Yoruha for the first time.

Later, they did puzzles together in their room, played childish games together, went to the same schools, and trained in volleyball together.

They grew up together and did countless things side by side.

On a sunny afternoon, Sakusa Kiyoomi fell asleep in a classroom at Itachiyama Academy, then jolted awake.

He'd had a nightmare.

"But the person I met wasn't anyone else. It was Kageyama Tobio..."

In the dream, the red-haired girl clutched a volleyball and looked down at him sadly as she said those words.

Her voice seemed to come from very, very far away, as if it had crossed half the universe.

Like a memory, like a dream, and yet as if it had really happened.

In the dream, he could only watch as the girl he loved said someone else's name, grew up with someone else, and trained with someone else.

The thought that Yukimura Yoruha might belong to someone else threw Sakusa Kiyoomi into a panic.

When he woke up, he rushed out of the classroom, afraid and desperate to confirm something.

Only after he pulled her completely into his arms did his disordered emotions finally settle.

Yes, the original pairing is Kageyama x Hinata, but so many of you went back and forth with me while that story was being serialized, so... I decided to write this alternate timeline.

Reader's guide:

1. If you just want a sweet Sakusa story, feel free to read this one. You don't need to have read the other story at all, since this timeline diverges very early.

2. All-pairings fans are welcome!

3. I don't recommend this for readers who've read my Kageyama x Hinata story and are firmly devoted to that pairing. The female lead's character is mostly unchanged, but the male lead is Sakusa.
