Synopsis:

Hoshikawa Mei is a gaming-obsessed girl who's bad at games but full of confidence, and the campus belle at Tokyo University whom nobody ever seems to find.

One day, brimming with confidence, she starts a PVP match, and, as expected, ends up being the weak link on her team (though of course she refuses to admit it).

So when her teammates all start yelling at her over voice chat, one expert player quietly types to her: Stick with me. I'll carry you to a win.

Hoshikawa Mei follows him, half-convinced, and they actually manage to turn the game around against the odds.

Hoshikawa Mei (typing): We're both so good!

Catboy Kenma (inner monologue): The game was a little more challenging today. It doesn't seem quite so boring anymore...

After the game, Hoshikawa Mei sends him a friend request.

But when she sends it, she accidentally checks one of the System's suggested messages, too.

[Looking for a CP? I'll carry you.]

After receiving the request, Catboy Kenma thinks for ten seconds, then slowly clicks [Accept] on the friend request and [Agree] to the CP link.

"Great," he thinks. "Now the game won't be boring."

And a girlfriend is just what he's missing, too.

Kuroo has always worried about how someone like Kenma, who spends all his free time at home gaming, could ever find a girlfriend!

Then, while Kuroo is fretting about it, Kenma suddenly announces that he already has a girlfriend, and that they're even on the verge of breaking up?!

Kuroo: ??? Did your partner fall through the ceiling while you were lounging on the sofa at home?

Catboy Kenma thinks it over and says, "More or less."

After all, he really did get a girlfriend out of nowhere while sitting in his chair playing a game.

Kuroo: ...?

Hoshikawa Mei inexplicably ends up with a CP. She has no idea how it happened, but doesn't think much of it.

Not long after, the game releases a SOLO mode, where players without a CP can earn double rewards.
