The Auspicious Groom

Synopsis

Jiang Su'an, an overworked wage slave pulling eight-to-eight shifts for a monthly salary of 2,800, transmigrates.

The bad news: She transmigrates into the body of an auspiciously hard-to-kill man, a male consort forced by powerful people to marry the Prince of Zhanyang as a good-luck bride.

Jiang Su'an: ...This is bad. I want to die.

The good news: The Prince of Zhanyang is a vegetable, bedridden and unable to move. After marrying him, she can take charge. The prince's household is rich and grand, with a fortune beyond measure!

Jiang Su'an: !!! Maybe I can stick it out after all.

On the first night after marrying into the prince's household,

Jiang Su'an hugged a jade ruyi in her left hand, clutched a gold ingot in her right, and kicked her bargain-bin husband under the bed. She slept like a baby.

On the second day after marrying into the prince's household,

Jiang Su'an ate eight meals, from vegetarian dishes to meat, and from animals that ran on land to fish that swam in water. Life was good.

On the thirtieth day after marrying into the prince's household,

Jiang Su'an spent an hour posing in front of the dressing table.

"Honey, do I look better in this Shu brocade tribute outfit, or that gold-threaded python robe?"

"Does this gold necklace shine more, or is that silver necklace more dazzling?"

"Oh, forget it. There's no point asking you.

The young lady from the Zhang family on North Street invited me to go boating and admire the flowers. I'm going to be late."

She got to the door, then ran back:

"No, I'd better change into silkier underwear, in case he accuses me of having an affair~"

The Prince of Zhanyang, paralyzed for many years, silently rose from his wheelchair

and went to seal the doors and windows shut.
