Life as a Farmer in Ancient Times

Cao Wen transmigrates into a poor farmer with nothing but four bare walls. The only person in his household is a mute wife who is as distant as a stranger, suffering right alongside him. So Cao Wen clears land and stockpiles fields, finds seedlings and plants them... He tends his crops until the fields are lush and green, and even the barren hills become orchards of fragrant fruit and spices. As the empty rice jar gradually gives way to a full granary, Cao Wen decides it's time to improve his rigid marriage as well. But to his dismay, he discovers that something is very wrong with his wife! He gives her rouge and hairpins, but she puts them away and never uses them. He makes sure she has enough to eat and warm clothes to wear, but she remains frail. Wah, she must have someone else in her heart. She clearly doesn't want to marry him! But she never gives another man a second glance, whether he's handsome or burly. Except... When a girl from the village links arms with her to pick wild vegetables, the tips of her ears turn red! Cao Wen grits his teeth. "She... She likes women!" Wah, that's even worse than her having someone else in her heart... Later, his wife can no longer hide the truth. She confesses that she's actually a man, and says he hopes they can keep living together. Cao Wen: "!" "So I'm the one who likes men?!" +=====+Divider+=====+ Take a look at my upcoming novel, Reborn to Be a Child Groom Xiao Yuanbao is a poor little thing. His mother died when he was three, leaving him to depend on his hunter father, who is rarely home. His father has thick brows and big eyes, and looks terrifying. Every time little Yuanbao eats with him, he gets scared and cries, asking for his mother again. The hunter is at a loss, so with the help of a matchmaker, he finds little Yuanbao a stepmother. To give his boy a better life, the hunter works even harder in the mountains, coming home only once every ten days or half a month. But he grows even more distant from his son, and doesn't even realize that the boy is being mistreated. It takes two years for the hunter to notice that little Yuanbao, whom he thought was being well fed and cared for, is even thinner than the young men his age in poor families. Unable to sleep for worry, the hunter thinks it over and goes to bring another boy home. Little Yuanbao peeks from behind the door at the new boy in the house. He's tall and sturdy, with an arm almost as thick as Yuanbao's leg. Yuanbao thinks his father has brought him another big brother. This one is even taller and stronger than the other boy in the family, so Yuanbao thinks he'll be bullied again. He cries in fear. "I don't want a big brother. Make him leave." The boy doesn't get angry. He simply crouches down and patiently wipes the little crybaby's face. "Don't send your big brother away, okay? I'll be your child groom."
