Five Thousand Years of Immortality

I am an immortal who transmigrated into the past, unable to die no matter how much I long for death.

Starting with apes migrating to a great river, I founded sacred ancient Egypt;

then I led rebels who refused to submit and founded glorious Sumer;

after that, amid betrayal and suffering, I led impoverished humanity in creating the greatest and most prosperous Persia.

I lived through so much, and in the end created Greater Greece, the work I had poured the most of myself into;

then I urged Rome to kill the city that loved me, and then to kill me.

But I still did not die.

I have had many names, but I can no longer remember the first one I had.

I am Ra, Mithra, Ahura, Eros, the Heavenly Father, Allah, Xolotl... and every name ever bestowed upon me.

I looked back.

From incantations to mysteries, from the ineffable to the inconceivable.

Then came magic, wizards, and the supernatural.

Then cities of stone became cities of bronze, and the sound of horses' hooves gave way to the rumble of steam trains.

Then electric light banished the night, and apes climbed from one end of the horizon to the edge of the heavens.

At last.

History lost itself in the passing years. Only I remained, immortal and alone.

P.S. A transmigrator returns to five thousand years before the beginning of human civilization.

P.S. A lone god who longs for death, an epic with an ensemble cast.

P.S. A heavily reimagined global history, with no supernatural powers whatsoever except the protagonist's.

An ensemble-cast series of episodic stories. This one really will update daily, I swear on Amon, the novel I'm still writing!

I'm still best at writing this kind of story, and I love it, haha.

9:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, 21:00, and 24:00.

At least two chapters will drop during these six daily time slots, with six as the maximum.

That's six chapters a day, with a maximum of eighteen thousand words a day.

So feel free to follow along without worry.
