In a nutshell: This is the daily “travels” (read: escape attempts) of Yun Zhongjun, a deity from the Nine Songs, as he visits various mythologies. It's a warm and healing story, with a sprinkling of lesser-known mythology from around the world~
Blurb:
When Yun Jun awoke in the depths of Yunmeng, where the sky and water mirrored one another and countless great lakes stretched to the horizon, he was astonished to discover
Oh, he'd become a bird-man made of clouds.
But before he could get used to his new identity, he was horrified to discover that this supposedly normal Nine Songs mythology was very wrong.
The sun in the sky was indescribable. The water god of the great lake murmured incomprehensible gibberish. The creator of life was a gigantic, bizarre lump of flesh... Even the god of death, who patrolled the earth like a king of the gods, was made of bones and tentacles!
Yun Zhongjun (relatively normal): I get it. This is a Cthulhu Mythos fanwork!!!
So he packed up overnight and fled with the mist-shrouded Yunmeng Marsh.
All while the gods pursued him with love and begged him to stay.
Chaos erodes order, and the indescribable descends today.
P.S. This is a story about the gods of various mythologies joining forces to resist the gods of the Cthulhu Mythos. Happy ending.
P.S. The mythologies covered so far include: Nine Songs mythology, Zoroastrian mythology, Norse mythology, Greek Mythology, Egyptian mythology, Indian mythology, Native American mythology, Inca mythology, Mayan mythology, Aztec mythology, Japanese mythology, Hebrew mythology, Arabic mythology, Canaanite mythology, Roman mythology, Voodoo mythology, Classic of Mountains and Seas, Taoist mythology, Buddhist mythology, Yil mythology, and Pokemon mythology.
It's about the gods of order fighting against the chaotic gods of the Cthulhu Mythos, a process of trying to defy entropy.
If the world hasn't united yet, let's start by uniting the mythologies of the world!
P.S. Please be kind in discussions. There is also a lot of original worldbuilding, and the mythologies covered are relatively obscure and have many different versions.
P.S. The gods' ranks are based on their mythological counterparts, and important details from the myths are respected, so they won't be out of character.
By the time you finish this, you'll probably have a basic understanding of mythologies from around the world.
Reading Guide
The manuscript fairy reports for duty at six every evening. This updates even faster than Amon, because I don't get writer's block with this one.
A feel-good story, mythology, and a protagonist who loves having fun.
Please leave lots of comments and send me nutrient solutions! Updates are 3,000 words a day, and this is a long novel.
If you push me hard enough, the manuscript fairy might occasionally cry and hand in an extra chapter.
If you're letting the story build up, don't forget to send me nutrient solutions from time to time after you bookmark it. I love drinking them.
I especially love it when you buy other books, earn nutrient solutions, and then send them to me for this free story. It gives me the joy of being a homewrecker.
A work by Yil, free from beginning to end. (The author doesn't make a living on Jinjiang and hasn't signed away their freedom to the site, so I'm totally free~)
Writing is a hobby and passion. I hope to meet people who enjoy it.
The author has a complicated history: I've appeared on Jinjiang, Dian Niang, Huashi, and even Cixiongmao. If you're curious about me, take a look at my profile.
Male protagonist, no romance, male-oriented, female-oriented, Huashi, fun, and the food I make... Anyway, my profile is a chaotic hotpot. Maybe you'll find something you like?
My dream is to get you all to jump into the pit!
I read comments but don't reply. I may feature comments, and I might give someone a shout-out and a virtual hug in an update.
If you like leaving thoughtful comments, it would be even better if you discussed the plot!
The author believes in freedom of speech and won't delete comments, but encourages friendly discussion.
I don't mind negative ratings from people who dislike the story. Long reviews with criticism or praise would be even better!
You can count on regular updates. At least until I take down this announcement, I won't miss a daily update.
I hear there's a Jinjiang tradition of not recommending other books in a story's comments, but I don't mind that at all. In fact, I hope readers who like mythology can freely recommend their favorite mythology novels. (I want to read them too!)
In short, I hope everyone has a good time.
Theme: Reflect on [defying entropy]
The protagonist is too free-spirited and loves to play. He has a lot of fun playing with himself. He also enjoys causing harm to others. Basically, chaos is everywhere he goes. He also said that you are not an evil god, or is it part of the fun to refute yourself?^^
In fact, the protagonist's thinking and behavior patterns are also arbitrary, unpredictable, and even quite crazy. He is not inferior to those gods at all, so there is nothing wrong with acting in his true colors.
I have long heard that Egypt is the source of many Western cultures, so is this creation process so similar? 🤩
I lost it, madam, and clicked on it in the huge library of works. I caught up with the latest chapter and clicked on the author page to see that it was still your work! This is such a thin thread of a thousand-mile marriage hhh. Looking back, I saw that Amon Wen also saved a lot of money (●ˇ?ˇ●). He was so happy. I also wish my wife to take care of herself and keep her health first.
In every sense, these gods are too flexible [Pigeon]
How was Zeus born this time, what happened to the River of the World, and what are the consequences?
From water to marble, does the river around the world still have self-awareness? [Question mark]
In other words, Yun Zhongjun and Nefes are both vests of the protagonist, and the protagonist is a fun person [Cat Claw].
When will there be an update?
Mrs. WOC's sudden diarrhea update, what a surprise, right 🌈
