[Western Crossover] A Guide to Raising a Reverse Rice Doll

Damian's point of view

As Batman's first child, Damian has always had a way of confusing people with animals.

When Bruce saw Damian bring home a swaddled bundle, he was worn out. "Damian, we're not running a zoo."

"No, Father," Damian declared solemnly. "It's a child."

He opened the bundle, revealing a baby covered in blood-red skin, with no skin, limbs, facial features, or tongue.

"Father, I want to keep him!"

He named the baby Hyakkimaru, meaning "kill every demon."

As it turned out, for Damian, who has always confused people with animals, the best way to care for a human being was to follow the rules for raising a pet.

Hyakkimaru couldn't speak, so Damian set out a few voice buttons.

Hyakkimaru couldn't see or sense things, and couldn't leave the manor, so Damian built him a Fengrong, put food inside obstacles, and let baby Hyakkimaru crawl around to find it.

Damian carefully prepared a nutritionally balanced puree and fed it to the child with no tongue.

Bruce (screaming): Damian! You can't treat him like your pet!

Damian: Father, are you sure?

Tim, driven out of his mind by paperwork and Damian's devilish training: What? What are you talking about?

Bruce: ...

After a moment of silence.

Bruce: Carry on.

After all, Damian has always confused people with animals.

Couple: Jason x Hyakkimaru

No one dies in this story. Only a weary old father gets thoroughly put through the wringer.

OOC, silly, healing, and raising a doll.

Dad's note: I think it should count as Damian (serious.jpg)

Let's congratulate Bruce on becoming a grandpa! (not really)

A quiet explanation:

It's hard to set up the character cards. Damian is the main viewpoint early on as he raises the child. Later, Damian's two love interests finally get together, bicker, and learn to accept each other.

But since that wasn't an option for the viewpoint, I chose dual POV instead. Oops (sorry if that offends anyone). In practice, the viewpoint is with Damian as he raises the child.

Theme: A tenacious life never stops
