A Family Doctor in Gotham

Miranda House, a medical doctor by profession,

landed a job with the famous Wayne family and started dreaming about the bright future ahead.

High salary, great benefits, long vacations! The worst that could happen was being called in during the night to save his barely alive secret crush. How much work could that be?

Two weeks later:

"Mr. Wayne, could you explain why your eighteenth rib has cracked again?"

Wayne was silent for a long moment, then said with absolute conviction, "Batman did it!"

Miranda: "..."

Guys, it turns out Wayne's secret crush really is Batman!

But why is Wayne the one who's half dead, instead of Batman?
